Sip-Sip Celebrate Elopement Collection

This year has been our Elopement Year out at The Barn! They’ve sort of become our thing, and they’re currently what our staff is asked about more than anything else! We totally get it... many couples desire a low-key, intimate, truly stress-free day over a full-on wedding, which allows them to focus completely on their marriage (and maybe a few close friends and family, if they choose to invite anyone). Our Elopement Collection includes all the necessities - an amazing altar, gorgeous florals, a beautiful cake, and several other details. Our elopement couples often ask if this collection includes a cocktail hour, but our traditional Elopement Collection does not allow for alcohol on the property. BUT...

We are truly thrilled to announce our newest elopement collection, the Sip-Sip Celebrate Collection! It’s just like the Elopement Collection you’ve come to know and love, but with cocktails! Yes, please!!! If you’re dreaming of a lovely little celebration that includes a pretty ceremony followed by an upscale ranch cocktail party with pretty drinks and a cute little cake, this is the collection for you!

Here are are the details... the collection starts at $2,450 and allows for up to 35 guests. It includes everything that comes with the traditional Elopement Collection, plus several fabulous additions to create the prettiest little cocktail party ever. You bring your desired drinks - beer, wine, champagne or cocktails - and we’ll take care of the rest. Seriously, EVERYTHING you need will be taken care of by our team... bartender, barware and all the prettiest details!

Planning A Wedding With The Barn

You already know The Barn is all-inclusive, meaning we take care of all the important details of your wedding day. But you may be a little confused on how that all works and how involved you're expected to be with the planning process. The truth is, you can be as involved or as uninvolved as you'd like to be. We have brides who are very hands-on in planning their weddings, and we also have brides who say, "I like these colors and this style. Feel free to do what you want." Either way, your wedding will be amazing! If you'd like to be involved in the planning process, here is what we ask of you! And don't be scared... As a former Barn Bride who has been through the process, I can promise you it's easy and SUPER fun.

First things first, you've gotta get in touch with us to make sure we're the right fit with your budget. You can email us at barnattwinoaksranch {at} yahoo {dot} com, send us a Facebook message, or get in touch with us through the contact page. The next step: come check out The Barn! Send us an email or give us a call before you come, because you must have an appointment to come check us out. We'll show you around The Barn and all the prettiness surrounding it. If you choose to book with us, hooray! The fun begins!

Side note: if you can't meet with us before you book your wedding with us, that's totally okay! We book almost half of our weddings with clients who have never seen The Barn. They book based on real weddings they've seen in publications and based on our reputation. So if you can't make it out to see The Barn in person, don't worry. We promise it's just as gorgeous in real life as it is in photos, and you won't be disappointed!

After booking your date, you'll be assigned to a planner, who you can feel free to contact anytime with ideas or questions. All of our planners are incredibly helpful, sweet and fun to work with. They'll ask you to start researching ideas, working on defining your wedding style, and complete a questionnaire. If you haven't already, start pinning wedding inspiration on Pinterest. Read wedding blogs and magazines. Look through all the weddings on our Facebook and this little blog, and keep track of what you like. Keep searching for and collecting inspiration. You can even create a secret Pinterest board with your planner if you want your guests to be surprised when they show up to your wedding.

A few months before your big day, our team will schedule an intense (but fun!) planning meeting with you, your fiancé, and whoever else you'd like to help you plan. This meeting usually lasts a couple hours, and it's when we plan ALL the details. It sounds pretty overwhelming, but our team makes it fun and exciting! Your planner will come prepared with images from your Pinterest board, so we'll all already have a feel for your color palette and overall theme. Where will you have your ceremony and reception? What flowers do you like? How should your bouquet look? What details do you want for your ceremony and reception sites? What menu items would you like to serve? These are just a few of the many, many details we plan on this day!

By the way, all of these things can be changed. Nothing is set in stone until after your 30-day planning meeting, which, you guessed it... takes place roughly a month before your wedding! During the time between your first planning meeting and your 30-day planning meeting, we encourage you to contact your planner as much as you need to. They're always there to answer your questions and calm any worries you may have! Their job is to make your planning process completely stress-free and fun.

At the 30-day meeting, we'll see if any of your wants, needs, wishes and details have changed from your last planning meeting. We'll finalize all the major details. This is usually the day that you have your cake tasting at theCakePlace, which was maybe my favorite part of wedding planning! ;) No really, it's a ton of fun. You get to eat a bunch of delish cakes, fillings and frostings and plan the details of your cake!

The day before your wedding, you'll get to come out to The Barn for a rehearsal with your bridal party and officiant. Your planner will run through the ceremony and reception with you, so you can be comfortable with everything that'll happen the next day. And then on your WEDDING DAY (!!!), show up to The Barn, sip champagne with your girls, put on your gorgeous dress, marry the love of your life, and have the most fun of your life partying with your loved ones! It is really that easy. We expect nothing of you on your wedding day! Enjoy the best day of your life, and we'll take care of all the details!

Keep in mind, our team is flexible. If this timeline doesn't work for you, we'll make sure we can work something out. If you're planning your wedding long-distance, we can totally plan with you over Skype! Our team has done that before, and it's an exciting challenge! I promise you, even if you never see The Barn and meet our team in person until the day of your wedding, it's still going to be incredible.

If you have any questions about our planning process, our collections, or if you'd like to book your dream wedding with us, please don't hesitate to contact us! We can't wait to hear from you!

10 Reasons to Elope at The Barn

Our spring season has been full of elopements, and I can’t wait to share them all with you! One of the most popular topics readers of The Barn Blog ask me about is our elopement collection. I think a lot of our couples and readers are torn on whether or not eloping is a good idea, and even if they truly want to elope, they have a "real" wedding and reception instead. Eloping is definitely not for everyone, but there are a few reasons you may want to consider eloping! Many people think elopements are only for pregnant brides or couples that have been in previous marriages. That is so not the case, y'all! Elopements are romantic, intimate, and at The Barn, they are just as stunning and amazing as other weddings! Here are 10 reasons why you might want to consider eloping.

1. You want a beautiful wedding, but without having to plan anything yourself. With elopements, we ask our couples to give us an overall color palette and theme that they love, and then we get creative and come up with a unique, beautiful masterpiece! Elopements are even less hands-on for our couples than our weddings... Which is pretty crazy, because even our most over-the-top weddings require very little effort from the bride and groom! If you want to do literally NO work in coming up with decor ideas, an elopement may be for you! You can literally show up in your dress, marry your love, take a bunch of photos, cut the cake and GO!

2. You want gorgeous wedding photos, but without everything that goes along with a big wedding. Some couples just aren't into everything that goes along with a big wedding, but it's also important to them to have stunning photos to look back on for their entire lives. This is where elopements come in! Your photos will be gorgeous, guaranteed (if you choose a professional photographer, that is!).

3. You're super romantic. There is nothing as romantic as running away to get married and then surprising all your family and friends with the big news! Morgan + Wager posted a "just eloped" photo to Facebook after their elopement to share their news... How fun is that!

4. Your family is crazy. Some of us just have totally cray-cray families who may or may not make a wedding a little (or a lot!) stressful, dramatic or awkward. Lord love 'em. Families can make weddings SUPER insane (we've seen it... eek!). If you're pretty sure your family is going to put a damper on your big day, an elopement miiiight be the way to go.

5. You want to get married, like NOW. We can plan elopements super fast. As long as we've got time to get the flowers and cake in, we've got time to plan an unforgettable elopement! We planned one of our most gorgeous (in my opinion) elopements in FOUR days. If you just can't wait any longer to tie the knot, call us up!

6. You want a fairy tale wedding, but you're low on funds. Elopements are less expensive than weddings, obviously, because there are fewer guests and only a cake cutting instead of a full-on reception. It is not realistic for everyone to be able to spend tons of money on their wedding day. The Barn's elopements are proof that you can have an utterly stunning wedding on a budget! (I just want to add that ALL of our all-inclusive wedding collections are lower than national and state wedding cost averages. You can read more about that here.)

7. You don't like having all the attention on you. Elopements are simple and intimate, and that's perfect if one of you is super shy... It can be just the two of you (plus your officiant and photographer), or you can invite up to 25 guests. Way less overwhelming than the amount of guests at a traditional wedding! If the thought of saying your I do's and sharing your first dance in front of loads of people terrified you, consider eloping!

8. Your honeymoon is equally (or more) important to you as your wedding. Weddings are expensive. Honeymoons are expensive. If you want to have an amazing wedding, but you also want to go on the trip of a lifetime, an elopement could be your answer. Our elopement packages are inexpensive, but gorgeous... You're not sacrificing style when you elope! And you're also not spending so much that you can't afford to go on a killer honeymoon. It's a win-win situation!

9. You want to be surrounded by your closest friends and family in an intimate, low key setting. If your mom is pressuring you into inviting 80 people you don't even know, tell her you've decided to elope and are keeping the guest list under 25. She'll be thrilled. ;) Sharing your best day ever with only those closest to you is SO intimate and romantic and meaningful. It's also totally chic and trendy!

10. You want a sweet, meaningful vow renewal with your spouse. You can have an "elopement" at The Barn even if you're already married! Our elopement collection is perfect for vow renewals. That's totally my plan for in a few years, if I can get my sweet husband on board!

There are sooooo many other wonderful, totally legit reasons to elope! Elopements at The Barn  = No stress. Gorgeous wedding. Beautiful florals and other details. Tons of romance. Delicious cake. What could be better?  You can read more about what our elopement collection includes here

Fall at The Barn

We're soaking up every second of spring and each of our gorgeous spring weddings, but let's take a minute to talk about fall out here at The Barn. Many of our prospective couples want to know what The Barn looks like in a certain month before they book their wedding with us... last week, we showed you what the landscape around The Barn looks like during our spring season (March through June), so let's check out what it looks like in the fall to early winter season (September through December).

If you're not familiar with Arkansas weather, let me just tell you that September is basically just an extension of summer. September weddings are usually pretty hot, and the leaves haven't typically started changing colors at all. Our leaves don't start changing much until mid to late October, when temperatures are a little cooler (and sometimes downright chilly during evening weddings). Leaves usually peak in our area in late October or early November, so if you're wanting a super colorful fall wedding, go for one of those dates! The leaves are still beautiful even as they begin to fall, so November weddings are still colorful and gorgeous, although quite a bit chillier. We don't have many weddings in December, but we do book amazing Christmas parties. It very rarely snows in our area in December, so if you book a December date, don't get your hopes up too much for snow! We occasionally book elopements during our off-season (January to early March), so if you have your heart set on a snowy wedding, talk to us about those dates. Here is what The Barn looks like during the fall and early winter months!

Spring at The Barn

One of the most common questions we get from prospective brides and grooms is: "What does The Barn look like in (a specific month)?" We wanted to share what The Barn looks like in both of our wedding seasons - spring to early summer and fall to early winter. The Barn is beautiful in every season, and the landscape will be the most gorgeous, dreamiest backdrop for your big day no matter what month you choose to get married in. But there's just something about The Barn in the spring that I can't get enough of. Early March is still a little bit wintery - trees and flowers haven't started to bloom just yet, and sometimes these weddings are chilly! Late March and April weddings are absolutely stunning, with new blooms adding pops of color into the landscape - the prettiest details that we don't even have to plan! During May and June, the landscape is super lush and green, which makes for the dreamiest photos. Here is what The Barn looks like from March to June!
