Katie + Cory's Rustic Purple & Turquoise Wedding

I'm so excited to share this Throwback Thursday wedding from last spring with y'all! Katie and Cory's wedding was one of our many purple weddings from last year, and we loved it so. Their details were SO fun (just like the two of them!), and every little part of their wedding day was truly special. Plus, this wedding has me even more excited for our upcoming spring weddings!!! Tracye Harned Photography beautifully captured this sweet couple's day, and I can't wait for you to see it!

Katie and Cory were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on May 21, 2016. Their color palette included purple and turquoise. "I knew that I wanted peacock colors in my wedding, but I just did not know how to incorporate them," Katie said. "The Barn did a great job of tying all the colors in." Their details were rustic chic and super fun (I mean, look at that paper airplane exit... these two are FUN!).

Katie's florals were stunning - the were full of bright turquoise and purple, and they had such a beautiful rustic look. "My bouquet had a peacock feather in it and my grandmothers brooch on the front," Katie said. "I told the ladies at The Barn that I was not a big fan of flowers and that I did not want any roses. They did a great job of making the bouquets look fabulous with greenery and peacock colors. They were beautiful."

Check out this adorable boutonniere... We love Katie's use of peacock feathers!

Katie's bridal gown was from Low's Bridal, and it was perfect for such a fun, late spring wedding! I love everything about this dress: the neckline, the lace, the back, the train, the silhouette... It is all perfect, and Katie couldn't have been more gorgeous!

I seriously LOVE these bridesmaids' dresses, which were also from Low's! They were such a fun shade of purple, and I love the length, the fuller skirt, and the gorgeous, lacy neckline on these. Plus, each of these girls wore BOOTS, which was just the icing on the cake! The guys looked so great too, in jeans, boots, white shirts, brown vests, and turquoise ties. Such a fashionable bridal party!

There were also a few adorable, little bridal party attendants, too! The tutus, boots, denim vests, and flower crowns on those flower girls... My heart can't handle the cuteness!

Katie and Cory had such a sweet, emotional first look. Okay, is it terrible to admit that we love it when a groom cries?! There is truly nothing sweeter!

My favorite part about getting married at The Barn was that it was so stress free. They allowed me to just be happy and not worry about anything on or before my wedding day.
— Katie

Katie's favorite details of the day were her ceremony details, and can you blame her?! They were amazing! They were rustic and a little bit boho, with painted glass bottles hanging on their altar and tons of bright colored flowers. "The aisle was decorated with my colors and flowers that looked so pretty," she said. "The altar also had the peacock colors and glass bottles which was one of the things that the ladies at The Barn suggested."

The wedding went off without a hitch! Everything was beautiful and very organized... They did a wonderful job. They did everything that we asked and so much more. I was not good at picking out what I wanted but the team did such a great job on our wedding!
— Katie

Katie and Cory's reception was also fun and gorgeous, with rustic chic tablescapes and several fun, special details! Their tables included white tablecloths, burlap runners and purple runners, purple and turquiose napkins, and bright, beautiful floral arrangements. They had a candy buffet, which included all of their favorite candies. "We also had a memorial table set up for those guests who are no longer with us," Katie said.

"The groom's cake was a welder because that is what my husband does for a living," Katie said. "Our wedding cake also looked like a tree and had our initials carved into it because I wanted something unique." Fun fact: the groom's cake was featured on the Weldporn Instagram account. ;)

Katie and Cory shared their first dance, danced with their parents (Cory and his mom had such a fun choreographed dance!), and had such a fun party with their loved ones. One moment of the day that Katie will never forget was their paper airplane send off! After their day was over, they headed off to Disney World for their honeymoon. "We had a great week at the most magical place on earth," Katie said. "We got to act like kids and not be judged!"

Katie and Cory, your big day was so sweet and special! We're so thankful that we got to plan your best day ever with you! Cheers to y'all! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Jordon + Nick's Cranberry & Wheat Fall Wedding

Today we're throwing it back to one of The Barn's most popular, most unique, most re-pinned fall weddings ever. Jordon and Nick's wedding was truly unique! The colors were gorgeous. The florals (which mostly consisted of wheat) were AMAZING. And literally every detail of this wedding was perfect for fall! We'd do this one all over again if we could!

Samantha Daniels from The Kindred Collective was their wonderful photographer, and she did the most beautiful job of capturing their big day!

Jordon and Nick were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on September 13, 2014. Their colors were rich, gorgeous cranberry and wheat accents (with tons of actual wheat used throughout their details!). Their wedding was rustic, simple, a little bit country, and soooo gorgeous. It was truly the perfect fall wedding!

Jordon wore a classic lace bridal gown and made it all her own with a champagne flower sash. She accessorized with pearls and the prettiest boots (always our fave!). She was such a happy, gorgeous bride!

Jordon's bridesmaids wore strapless cranberry dresses and boots, of course! The guys wore jeans, white shirts, cranberry vests, and you guessed it, more boots! This bridal party was casual but classy, and their attire fit right in with the laid back, rustic vibe of the day.

Oh, and these ring bearers. Sooooo CUTE. I can't get over their little bow ties!

Jordon's florals were some of our favorites ever! She asked us to use lots and lots of wheat throughout her decor, so our team sorta went all out with it in the bouquets! Her bouquet consisted of ivory roses, baby's breath, red astilbe, and wheat... Unbelievably pretty and so unique! The bridesmaids carried simple astible and wheat bouquets. All of the bouquets were wrapped with burlap, which fit right in with the rustic details. The guys wore wheat boutonnieres... simple and pretty!

Jordon and Nick's ceremony decor was sweet, simple and rustic chic. Their altar had a burlap drape with red, ivory and wheat floral arrangements on each side. Their aisle was lined with wooden crates, wood discs, and white mason jars with florals. It was all very understated, but this ceremony included some of my very favorite details!

How cute are these sweet ring bearers and flower girls with their little red wagon?!

The amazingness continued with Jordon and Nick's reception details! These reception tables!!! Ahhhh, swoon!!! Their tables had burlap tablecloths and cranberry runners, white painted and lace-wrapped mason jars full of flowers (and more wheat!), candles (romantic vibessss), and very simple place settings with burlap flatware holders. This reception was proof that less can really be more! Simple is sometimes the best of all!

Even their cakes were fabulous! Jordon's cake was plain white with a cute ruffled middle tier, burlap flowers, and a sweet "hitched" cake topper. Nick's cake was super detailed... It was hunting themed, and it was amazing!

Another fun detail: their favors! They sent their guests home with personalized mason jars. This rustic display was so cute!

Jordon and Nick, y'all are at the very top of our cute couples list! Seriously, these two are precious, and we can't get enough of their sweet wedding photos! They had a fun, sweet, romantic reception, and their family and friends had an unforgettable night of celebrating with these newlyweds!

Jordon and Nick, we LOVE LOVE LOVED your gorgeous fall wedding SO much! We're so thankful that y'all chose The Barn as your wedding venue! We hope y'all are having the best life ever together! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Jaime + Jake's Blue, Ivory & Burlap Wedding

One of the coolest things about working at The Barn is getting to meet couples and their families from ALL over the world. We've had couples from Alaska, Bulgaria, Las Vegas, right here in Arkansas, and everywhere in between. Today's sweet couple came all the way from Hawaii! They met up with their super sweet family at The Barn for a stunning, rustic-chic wedding. It is such an honor when couples are willing to travel so far to tie the knot at our little ol' barn! It makes us know we're doing something right!

These photos were taken by Tryston Hines, one of our absolute fave photographers, and they are lovely!

Jaime and Jake were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch in October 2015. Their colors were slate blue and ivory, with lots of burlap accents - such a pretty color palette for fall! Their ceremony and reception were quaint and cozy, with the prettiest rustic-chic details!

Jaime's amazing beige gown was for sure one of the highlights of their wedding! Bridal gowns that aren't white are always unique and exciting, and this one was perfection! The lace and the sash were so beautiful, and the silhouette was gorgeous on this lovely bride!

Jaime's bridesmaids and flower girls wore elegant, floor-length, slate blue gowns. Jake wore a tan suit, while his groomsmen wore navy suits with bow ties. This bridal party was timeless and so very chic!

The flower girls and ring bearer... They were pumped! :)

Jaime's bouquet was classic and timeless, but with a rustic touch. It included ivory roses, anemones, hydrangeas and blue thistle. The rest of the florals used throughout their decor included mostly ivory flowers, with pops of bright blue. SO pretty, and perfect for fall!

Tryston always takes THE BEST first look photos, and these were the sweetest ever! I love how you can feel the emotion and anticipation as Jake turns around to see his bride for the first time! And that DRESS... swoon!!!

Jaime and Jake's ceremony decor was absolutely lovely with the fall foliage! Their altar was draped with burlap and had two ivory and blue floral arrangements and a wooden cross. They had an antique table topped with more florals (love that bright blue!) and beads in jars for their unity ceremony. The aisle was lined with burlap-wrapped jars full of flowers.

Jaime and Jake were a precious couple, and they were so happy and excited to begin their new life together! Their ceremony was a joyous celebration of the beginning of their marriage and their love for one another!

Jaime and Jake's reception was just as gorgeous as their ceremony, and one of my favorite details was this adorable lemonade social at their cocktail hour!

The Barn looks sooo good in blue, y'all. This reception was STUNNING. The tables included navy linens, burlap runners, flowers in mismatched vases and vintage watering cans, and classic blue, white and silver place settings. Their head table backdrop was white, silver and sparkly... This reception was the perfect combination of rustic and chic!

Let's be honest: edible details are always the best. They had a simple little white and blue wedding cake, and BACON JAM for favors... Say whaaaat! We were super thrilled about that fab detail!

Jaime and Jake shared their first dance as husband and wife, cut their cake, listened to several beautiful toasts from their loved ones, and had an unforgettable party with their closest friends and family! When the night was over, they made their grand bubble exit... We looove sparkler exits, but bubbles are so fun and a nice change! :)

Jaime and Jake, thank y'all for coming all the way to Arkansas to get married at The Barn! We LOVED your beautiful wedding! We wish y'all the best! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Katie + Joe's Rock 'N Roll Themed Wedding

Today's #TBT post is unlike any other you've seen on The Barn Blog... We've never done another wedding anything like this one! It was featured allllll over the web (on One Lovely Day and WeddingWire, just to name a couple), and we weren't even surprised. The couple was the best, the theme was unique, and the details (polka dots! a black wedding cake! a tattoo station!) were so, sooo fun and adorable!

These photos were taken by the talented Liz Chrisman, and she couldn't have done a more perfect job capturing this wedding. Y'all are in for a treat with this one!

Katie and Joe were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on April 27, 2013. Their colors were black, white and red, and their theme was rock 'n roll-meets-1950s pin-up! Their decor was full of polka dots, anemones, and even pistols... It was unique, so fun, and unforgettable!

One of my favorite details of the day was Katie's lovely dress. It was tea-length, with adorable white polka dots and a red sash. She accessorized with a birdcage veil and red shoes. She carried a simple, black and white anemone bouquet which fit their theme perfectly.

What a fun, fabulous bride!

The bridesmaids wore pin-up inspired black and white polka dotted dresses and carried red and black pomander flowers. Joe wore a gray suit with a red tie, red socks, and black and white shoes. He wore a dice on his anemone boutonniere, which was a great detail! His groomsmen wore black suits and red ties. We loved this group's rockabilly-inspired look!

Joe went above and beyond on their wedding details! He designed a custom font and invitation suite, and we are still in love with them! How great are these paper details?!

Katie and Joe's altar was the most fun altar EVER. They had a red streamer backdrop and red, black and white paper flowers all over the altar. Their aisle was pretty simple, with paper flowers and black and white silhouettes on red frames. They had a super cute guestbook... It was a tree that their guests stamped with their thumbprints, in red or black ink!

With a theme as fun as this one, of course Katie and Joe's wedding portraits were fun and insanely cute!

The reception details were where things got even more awesome! Their tables included red linens, black and white striped and polka dotted runners, anemone arrangements finished off with black pistols (what's a rock 'n roll wedding without 'em?!), black and white polka dotted place settings, framed black and white silhouettes, and black and white striped straws in mason jars. There was even custom calligraphy confetti sprinkled on their tables!

Some of the most fun, unique reception details were a black wedding cake (with the cutest topper), personalized koozies for favors, and a tattoo station with custom temporary tats!

This wedding was definitely a breath of fresh air for us... It sure was fun for our team to work on a wedding with a theme that was wayyyy different than what we're used to! Who knew rockabilly could look so pretty inside a rustic barn?!

Katie and Joe, thank you so much for choosing to get married at The Barn! We still LOVE your amazing wedding, even after all these years! Y'all rock, and we wish you the best! xoxoxoxoxo

Elegant Pink & Glittery Gold Wedding

If you're a longtime fan of The Barn, we know you've seen this wedding about a million times! It's one of our most popular weddings, one of our most re-pinned, and one that many, many brides have brought to us as inspiration for their own wedding! It's also one that I have been waiting for a longggg time to share with y'all, so I'm super excited to finally show it off on this Throwback Thursday! From the reception table styling to the dinner menu, cocktails and candy buffet, this wedding was elegant, swoon-worthy and totally unforgettable. These photos were captured by Salt & Sky Studios, and they are flawless!

This gorgeous wedding and dinner party took place on a lovely June evening in 2014. The color palette included blush pink and gold, with plenty of glittery, sparkly details. The styling and details were unique, elegant, classic and seriously AMAZING. This couple paid just as much attention to their dinner and drinks as they did to their florals and other details, and it made for such a fun, yummy, unforgettable wedding and reception!

This couple's reception tables were elegant, glittery, and so very chic! They included our popular sequined chevron table runners, mercury glass vases with pink and white peonies and roses (single blooms make such a statement when styled this way!), clear vases topped with florals, candles on mercury glass stands (they created such a romantic glow later in the evening), and elegant white and gold place settings with custom menu cards.

They had a cocktail hour on the lawn, and it was classic, elegant and gorgeous. The simple white linens and white ruffled tablecloths were so dreamy with our gold chairs and the lighting over the lawn! It was simple, but stunning. Our game lawn has never been prettier!

This couple's dinner menu and cocktails were just as unforgettable as the stunning decor! They served a plated steak dinner with several delicious sides and sorbet palate cleansers. Their AMAZING drink menu was full of classic cocktails, as well as very customized infused drinks. We believe that your drinks should be as pretty as your decor, so our team went all out on the drink presentation at this wedding!

Their cake (made by theCakePlace) was simply elegant, and it fit in perfectly with the rest of their glittery decor. It was a simple white cake with a little bit of sparkle and white florals, all on a gorgeous gold cake stand.

This couple also had some of the best wedding favors ever! They had the sweetest pink candy buffet (which I have talked about on this blog no less than 500 times!), as well as tiny succulents. Love is Sweet, y'all!

The reception was romantic and gorgeous. There was a glittery gold backdrop for a photo booth, and this couple even gave us the LOVE marquee sign you've seen on the outside of The Barn! These pictures show just how dreamy and magical The Barn is at night. <3

Ohhh, we LOVED this wedding, and we know why so many of y'all are still swooning over it, too! It was truly unforgettable, magical and dreamy! Serious swoonage!

xoxo,
Kelsi
