Throwback Thursday: Bayley + Lucas

Last Thursday, I shared with you a sneak peek of some of our 2012 Barn Weddings, and I’m so excited to kick off a recap of our first wedding season today! This one is special, because it was The Barn’s first wedding EVER, and the groom just happens to be Lesleigh’s brother.

Bayley and Lucas were married at The Barn way back in June of 2012, before The Barn had its own floral designer or the gold chairs you’ve seen at all of our weddings since then. The signature Barn sign wasn’t out front back then, either. Things have changed a lot since then, but one thing is for sure: weddings at The Barn have always been drop-dead gorgeous.

Bayley chose a traditional, chic, Southern theme with a bit of a girly vibe. Her colors were pink and white, with hints of green. The florals and décor were by A Southern Tradition, and boy, were they pretty.

One of my favorite details of this wedding is Bayley’s dress! It is unreal! I absolutely love the bridesmaids’ soft pink dresses, that precious flower girl dress and the guys’ gray suits with pink ties.

How precious is their first look, by the way? Bayley and Lucas, y’all should seriously think about becoming models.

Their guests sat on covered hay bales during the ceremony, and I just think the ceremony area looks incredible with hay bale seating! I am also obsessed with their altar. Those floral arrangements are amazing! I love how simple this ceremony décor is… This wedding is proof that your décor and flowers don’t have to be over-the-top to be unbelievably beautiful!

Look at these sweet pictures from just after Bayley and Lucas' ceremony. Not only are these two extremely good looking, but they also are clearly head-over-heels for each other.

The reception details were lovely, too. I’m really digging their rustic floral centerpieces!

Speaking of love, I absolutely LOVE this gorgeous cake, made by TheCakePlace in Russellville. TheCakePlace always blows me away, folks. They can do no wrong. This cake is so simple, but the pink lace and those perfect flowers sure made it something special! Lucas’ golf-themed groom’s cake is also perfection.

Bayley and Lucas gave jam as their wedding favors, which I think is the cutest. It adds a nice little Southern touch, that’s for sure! Plus, homemade jam feels a lot more personal and meaningful than store-bought favors.

I just really adore this wedding! I love an extravagant, extremely detailed wedding as much as the next wedding-obsessed girl, but there is something about a traditional, simple Southern wedding that really tugs at my heartstrings.

You can see more of Bayley and Lucas’ wedding on our Facebook page and Melissa McCrotty’s Facebook page.

By the way, have you entered to win our Barn Boot Giveaway? If not, come on over here and read all about how you can enter to win your choice of two fabulous pairs of boots, as well as some fancy Barn gear!

I’ll see y’all back here tomorrow! Have a wonderful Thursday!

Kelsi
