10 Barn Weddings: Amazing Altars

Happy Friday! Once again, I'm reposting an old blog post, but I'm planning to get back to my regular blog routine on Monday! Thanks for bearing with me this week while I've been dealing with some crappy medical problems. Sometimes you've just got to rest and take care of yourself, and that's definitely what I needed! Here are 10 pretty altars to kick off your weekend! Xoxo

Today I want to show you a handful of my favorite altars The Barn team has designed. The altar is arguably the most important part of a wedding (because, you know, it's where all the real big stuff goes down). There's never been one I didn't like, so narrowing them down for this post was a bit of a struggle.

I’m definitely going to have to do another post on our altars (or, like, five because I really want to show you every single one of 'em!), but this time, I’m going to show you some of the most unique. They range from rustic to totally glam and rockabilly (seriously!) to bohemian. We’ve had some really simple altars, as well as some over-the-top ones, and they have all been drop-dead-gorgeous. Basically, what I'm telling you is this: The Barn team can do anything. Any style, any theme, any color combination, anything from simple to totally outrageous. See for yourself!

Ashley and Ivan hold The Barn's record for Most Flowers Used On An Altar. And my goodness, this one's a stunner! Any altar that includes this many flowers, dripping with crystals, and beautiful white lace is just unbeatable. This Puerto Rican wedding is one of The Barn's most glamorous of all time, and you've got to see more of it here

Anita and Wesley's outdoor ceremony almost got rained out, so The Barn team originally set it all up inside. But the rain stopped, so Lesleigh and the girls tore it down and set it up again outside in a jiffy. Folks, when this is your backup plan, you know you've picked a real good place to tie the knot. By the way, those are more than 100 lilies all strung together as their backdrop. Simply gorgeous!

Gail and Brian's bohemian wedding was one of our most unique, as well as one of our most colorful. Their ribbon altar is wild, fantastic and cheery. If that much color doesn't instantly put a smile on your face, well, I just don't know what will! See more of this fabulous boho wedding here

Amanda and Brad's sweet, intimate wedding inside The Barn was stunning! A candlelit wedding is always insanely romantic, but a candlelit wedding inside The Barn cannot be topped. You've got to see more of this shabby chic wedding here

Sarabeth and John's altar was a little bit rustic, super creative and totally gorgeous. I love the old window, as well as their use of vintage furniture and the draping on the altar. This one is pure perfection. See some more of this pretty little wedding here

Sometimes simple is the best, and Bayley and Lucas's altar is proof. This flowers-only altar is one of my very favorites, and while I love our outdoor altar with lace, tulle or burlap draping, I just don't think it gets any better than this. Less is more, y'all. When it comes to EmeryAnn and Andrew's boho-chic altar, I just can't keep it together. The doors! The florals and all that gorgeous greenery! The ruffly pink backdrop! Swoon, swoon, swoon. This wedding is a must-see, and lucky for you, we've got lots of pictures of it right here

Katie and Joe's super cute rockabilly wedding definitely falls into the one-of-a-kind category. It was AMAZING, and the paper flowers and red streamer backdrop on their altar are so fun! This one is proof that The Barn team can pull of any style. And TheCakePlace can too, 'cause go to this album and look at that fab black wedding cake!

Our outdoor altar covered in burlap is a beautiful, beautiful thing. Mae Mae and Mike's wedding was Southern, rustic and pretty in pink, and their altar fit their style perfectly! This one is so simple, but it sure is lovely. See more of their wedding here

My jaw hit the floor when this photo popped up on my Instagram last year! This stunning, perfect, gorgeous, holy-smokes-amazing fabric-and-candles-galore backdrop was from one of our elopements, and it's reallllll high up on my list of favorites. Love, love, love, love, love.

Which of these is your favorite? Let me know in the comments, pretty please!

Y'all have a lovely weekend! I'll see you back here on Monday.

xoxo,
Kelsi
