My favorite thing about sharing our very first weddings is that it allows our former Barn Brides a chance to sort of experience their wedding day all over again, even two years later. Just by reading this bride's answers to the questionnaire I sent her, I could tell how happy it made her to talk about her best day ever and the whole Barn experience. And when you see her wedding, you will know why!
Patience and Jerimiah were married at The Barn on September 15, 2012. They were one of our first couples, which makes them that much more special! If you've been following The Barn since the beginning, you may recognize this adorable couple from our Fall 2012 Intern Styled Shoot. Patience and Jerimiah's beautiful wedding photos were taken by Shingleur Photography, a friend of The Barn since we first opened up!
Patience remembers her wedding day as being surprisingly calm. "I couldn’t believe how calm I was while getting ready to walk down the aisle; usually I’m a nervous wreck!" Patience said. "But the amazing team at The Barn was so wonderful and made me feel at ease. My wedding day was everything I could’ve asked for and more!"
Patience and Jerimiah chose coral, brown and beige for their wedding colors. Patience wanted a country vibe, but with a little bit of a vintage flair. "My husband is from the country and loves the outdoors, so I wanted that to reflect in our wedding," she said.
Patience said her favorite detail from the wedding was her amazing dress, and I can totally see why! She chose a lace dress to add a little bit of a vintage feel to an otherwise country wedding. "I had only tried on two dresses when I went shopping," she said. "I knew what I wanted and how it needed to look and fit. The moment I put it on I knew it was the one!"
Patience said she wanted her wedding to have a casual feel, so Jerimiah and his groomsmen wore button-down shirts and jeans. Jerimiah even wore his favorite camo hat! The bridesmaids wore mismatched coral dresses and cowboy boots. "To say the least, everyone was comfortable!" Patience said.
While The Barn team made Patience's ceremony and reception floral arrangements, Patience wanted a silk bouquet that she could have as a keepsake from her big day. She ordered the coral bouquet online and added white flowers. She also made the adorable Mr. & Mrs. ring box! Looks like I'm going to have to talk this crafty girl into doing a DIY guest post on the blog in the future. ;)
Patience and Jerimiah are one of our few couples to get married inside The Barn, and can I tell you how head-over-heels in love I am with that?! They said their vows just inside the doors, and with a backdrop that pretty, you don't even need a fancy altar. Their aisle was lined with simple tulip arrangements. Gorgeous!
Patience and Jerimiah's reception also took place inside The Barn, and their coral tulips, hydrangeas and lanterns were so dreamy and pretty.
Patience and Jerimiah's tree-inspired cake was precious! This creative couple also made their own cake server set handles out of deer antlers. How amazing are they?! They made mason jar wine glasses, too, which always win over my heart!
Patience and Jerimiah's guests showered them with birdseed as they exited The Barn, and then they went on their honeymoon to Branson!
The Barn at night is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
Patience said one thing she will always remember about her wedding day is how helpful The Barn staff was. She said her planner actually told her she was the calmest bride she'd ever worked with, and that brides were typically stressing out about last-minute details. "My first thought was, 'Well maybe I'm the crazy one for not acting that way,'" Patience said. "I was so excited just to be married that nothing else really mattered!"
Patience and Jerimiah, we're so thankful that you chose us as your wedding venue! Y'all are precious, and we wish you a lifetime full of love and happiness!
