It's finally Friday! And if that's not exciting enough, I have a super precious wedding to share with y'all today! I'm almost done sharing our 2012 weddings, and I'm beyond excited to start sharing our 2013 weddings! (2012 brides, if you haven't heard from me, send me an email! And if you HAVE heard from me... email me back! ;)
This wedding is so cheery; these pictures will just make you smile! This couple is so sweet, their colors were bright and playful, and every single detail was pure perfection (as always!). Their photos were taken by Brant Bauman from BnBauman Photography, and they're beautiful! Grab yourself a glass of tea and settle in, because this wedding is one you're going to want to spend some time swooning over.
Chelsea and Logan were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on June 29th, 2013. Choosing her wedding colors was a no-brainer for Chelsea; she went with red, because it's her favorite color. She chose yellow as the accent color, "because it was a summer wedding, so I wanted it to be bright," she said.
Every once in a while, a couple will give our team total creative freedom on their florals and decor; they tell us the colors and overall look they like, and then they let our team work their magic. Chelsea and Logan were one of those couples, and let me tell you, our team had a ton of fun with this wedding! The theme of this wedding was Southern and sweet and a little bit rustic, with mismatched table linens, lots of burlap and a whole bunch of color.
Can we talk about Chelsea's uniquely gorgeous dress for a moment? It was from David's Bridal, and it is incredible. "It started out as a pretty strapless dress," Chelsea said. "Then I added sleeves, the veil and a flower in my hair, and I knew it was 'the one!'" LOVE!
Chelsea's shoes were so pretty, too! She also carried this handkerchief that was made from one of her grandfather's shirts. So sweet!
Let's also talk about this precious first look. We're big fans of first looks, and this one is as sweet as they come! These next several photos are totally melting my heart.
These photos with Chelsea's veil... I sure wish I could insert about a thousand heart-eyes emojis right here.
Look at this good looking wedding party! I love the story behind Chelsea's bridesmaids' dresses. "I wanted everyone to be in the same color, but I didn't want everyone in the same style," she said. "I wanted everyone to feel pretty without being in some super fancy and expensive dress. I hand picked each girl a dress from TJ Maxx!" Um, I love a bride who genuinely cares about how her girls feel in their dresses. And I love love love a bride who gets her bridesmaids' dresses at TJ Maxx! Seriously, Chelsea. You're fabulous. P.S. Aren't these flower girls so stinkin' precious?! These groomsmen look pretty fantastic, too! Groomsmen in vests is always a good idea.
As I mentioned before, Chelsea and Logan allowed The Barn Team to do pretty much whatever they wanted on the flowers and decor. Just look at how incredible these bouquets turned out! When brides give our team creative freedom, things start to get truly magical around here. Our team is so talented, y'all! It blows my mind.
Chelsea's bouquet was red and yellow and "HUGE... and amazing, obviously," as she said. The bridesmaids carried yellow flowers tied together with a yellow bow, and boy, was it pretty with their lovely red dresses! The flower girls carried the cutest little flower wands and wore the most precious floral crowns.
Chelsea and Logan's ceremony decor was rustic-chic, with plenty of red and yellow, a simple (yet insanely pretty) tulle altar, and our beautiful vintage doors. Chelsea said her favorite part of the day was the ceremony (and I love this answer, because that's how you know a bride was truly excited about the getting married part, and not just about having a fancy wedding!).
"Everything about the ceremony was absolutely perfect," Chelsea said. "The church pews, the canopy of trees around the venue, the altar, the aisle decor and our crystal unity candle. I will never forget walking down that aisle!"
This ceremony was sweet, perfect and full of love. By the way, Chelsea chose to walk down the aisle to an acoustic guitar version of "A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes." And I just so happen to think that's the cutest thing ever. I'll shut up and let these beautiful photos do the talking. ;)
These flower girls are killing me!
Those first few moments as husband and wife are so dreamy, and you can totally see that on Chelsea and Logan's faces in these photos taken just after the ceremony! Pure happiness. :)
Chelsea and Logan and their loved ones headed over to The Barn for a real fun reception. Chelsea said the reception table decor was her favorite wedding detail "because of the vast attention to detail," she said. That's what we're here for, folks! The reception decor included, of course, lots of red and yellow and beautiful flowers. Strawberries and lemons were added to the floral arrangements, which gave the tables the "bright, Southern, summer feeling I was looking for," Chelsea said. There were also little yellow bird figurines on the tables, which held a special meaning for Chelsea.
"My grandfather passed away about a year before the wedding, and he loved watching little yellow birds coming to his bird feeder in his backyard," she said. "It was a very special and understated way to honor him on my special day."
Chelsea and Logan's decor also included a few other unique details. "We knew we were going to Disney World for our honeymoon, so we incorporated a couple of tributes to Disney into our day," Chelsea said. "Our guests were invited to find 'Hidden Mickeys' that The Barn Staff had incorporated into the decor in various places, just like in Disney World!"
Their favors were creative and brilliant, too. "We had the bottles of Coke and the popcorn bar the people would take with them," Chelsea said. "We also had toothbrushes that had our wedding date and name on them, along with travel size floss! Since Logan is in dental school, it was only fitting."
Speaking of that, here is Logan's groom's cake, which I've mentioned no less than 1,000 times on this blog. I think it is hilarious, adorable, brilliant, and just plain wonderful. Best groom's cake ever, Logan. Good job! Chelsea had a tiny cake (with a Hidden Mickey, of course) and a bunch of cute cupcakes. TheCakePlace always does a fantastic job!
Would you look at this wedding party entering The Barn?! Y'all clearly have good friends, Chelsea and Logan. This group knows how to party!
Best. Father. Daughter. Dance. Ever!!!
It ain't a party 'til a flower girl gets upside down on the dance floor!
After their reception, Chelsea and Logan made their grand exit through a tunnel of sparklers and headed to Disney World! They stayed at Coronado Springs Resort and visited all four theme parks and Blizzard Beach. "It was almost as magical as our wedding," Chelsea said.
When I asked Chelsea about her experience with The Barn, she had some really lovely things to say about us!
"My favorite part about getting married at the Barn was the consultations we had before the wedding ever started! They listened to every word I said to make sure they delivered everything I wanted on my wedding day. We even had some last minute requests (like the popcorn bar) that they were able to pull off in just a few days! Absolutely everything was amazing! The ceremony was sweet and special, the reception was fun and energetic, and the whole day was so “us.” We can’t thank you enough!" -Chelsea
Chelsea and Logan, we can't thank YOU enough either. We were so honored to have been a part of your wedding day and the beginning of your new lives together! We wish you tons of love, happiness and laughter! xoxoxoxo
Doesn't this wedding just make y'all smile?! It sure makes me happy! You can see a few more photos of it here on our Facebook page. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
