This wedding was our most viewed wedding of the year, so we’re bringing it back! The best word to describe it? Lovely. It has a gorgeous color scheme, the prettiest flowers and the sweetest details. This couple is so sweet, and I'm totally swooning over every single detail from their day! I never knew I could love napkins until I saw this wedding on our Instagram last summer... You'll know what I mean in a few minutes. ;)
These photos were taken by Andrew Arceri, who is a friend of the groom, and they're so beautiful. I love this photography style, and I think it perfectly captures the magic of The Barn. (I know I use the word "magic" to describe The Barn all the time... I'll admit it, that's super cheesy, but it's true! This place is where fairy tale weddings come to life!... Umm, I think I even made myself throw up that time.)
Megan and Daniel were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on July 5, 2014. The inspiration behind their wedding colors came from Megan's wardrobe! "It started out as coral and mint, but as I began searching for bridesmaids' dresses, the color slightly changed into more of a coral/peach and mint," she said. "These colors have been a staple in my wardrobe for years, so it seemed like a no-brainer!"
The rustic-chic theme Megan and Daniel chose for their wedding is one that's been very popular for several years, but it was insanely gorgeous nonetheless! "Sadly, a lot of my taste is like that of many brides around my time, so it may not seem to unique, but it was perfectly me," Megan said. "We loved every detail, from the lace to the beautiful wire sconces and mason jars; it was all amazing."
Megan and Daniel are one of our sweet out-of-state couples! " I always knew a church wedding just wasn’t for me and when I realized there weren’t any barns that fit our style in Oklahoma I took to the Arkansas website," Megan said.
These photos of Megan and her bridesmaids getting ready in the Bridal Suite are precious. Do you love those silk floral robes as much as I do?!
Megan's dress, which was from Pomp & Pageantry in Oklahoma City, is UNREAL. The back of this dress is breathtaking! Just look at that train! And her veil is so perfect. Seriously swooning right now!
Megan's bridesmaids wore the cutest peach dresses from Amaranth Collection in Tulsa. They were casual, a little bit vintage-inspired and so very pretty.
Daniel and his groomsmen looked pretty darn fancy, too. This look is one of my favorites for guys! Those mint green bow ties... I literally cannot.
This wedding party is looking fierce!
Did I mention how beautiful Megan and Daniel's flowers were? Their bouquets and arrangements contained peach roses, peach ranunculus, pink garden roses, lamb's ear and a little bit of greenery. "First off, they were gorgeous!" Megan said. She said she's not an "all rose kind of girl," so she loved the mixture of roses, garden roses and ranunculus. "I absolutely loved the bouquets," she said.
We're big fans of first looks at The Barn, and it's even more special when a bride also had a first look with her dad! These photos of Megan and her dad are so precious and heart-melting!
Megan and Daniel's first look was incredibly romantic. I have no words, so I'll let these stunning photos do the talking!
Megan, you are so beautiful!
Megan and Daniel's ceremony decor was simply stunning. Their altar was one of my absolute favorites! It was draped with tulle, with the most beautiful, enormous floral arrangements. The aisle was lined with mason jars filled with lovely arrangements. They had sweet fans for their guests on their guestbook table, and even their welcome refreshment table was pretty! As I mentioned, I first fell in love with their wedding when I saw it on our Instagram, so this first photo is from there.
By the way, this is what it looks like when the bridal party hides behind The Barn while waiting to walk down the aisle! So much anticipation. :)
Megan said one detail of their wedding day that she'll never forget is her walk down the aisle. Megan loves Disney, so she chose to walk down the aisle to one of her favorite songs from the movie Tangled. "I will never forget the moment walking down the aisle to 'I See The Light,'" she said. "The pianist and cellist duet was incredible, which I would have never thought of using if it weren't for The Barn staff. There is also a funny part to that special moment; while walking down the aisle looking at all the beauty and our friends and family, I heard this odd sound and realized I had snagged a twig in my dress." Little imperfections like that are part of what make your wedding day so special!
The way these two look at each other... incredibly sweet!
I love this photo of Megan and Daniel during their unity cross ceremony.
This kiss is SO sweet! That is one happy couple, y'all!
I'm big fan of photographers who take a few portraits of the newlyweds immediately after the ceremony, especially when they take a few from afar as the couple enjoys a few private moments to themselves before heading over to the reception. There is nothing like that newlywed glow!
Just like their ceremony decor, Megan and Daniel's reception details were beautiful! Their tables had burlap runners, floral arrangements in wire vases and the cutest napkins I've ever seen, folded into bows with gold glitter napkin rings. They also had a memory table with a pallet backdrop. There were so many sweet details at this reception!
Their wedding cake was made by theCakePlace. The details on this cake were amazing! Daniel is a Sooners fan, and his groom's cake was perfect!
All of Megan and Daniel's wedding portraits are gorgeous, so of course their first dance photos are swoon-worthy and romantic. These two are so in love!
Megan and Daniel had an adorable candy bar, which doubled as their favors. We all know how into good, useful favors I am, and in my opinion, you can never go wrong with candy!
When their reception was over, Megan and Daniel made their grand exit through a bunch of sparklers! They went on their honeymoon to Disney World. "It was an incredible experience! We stayed at a resort and spent four days at the parks," Megan said. "This vacation was a perfect fit for us. From wedding day to honeymoon, the whole experience was perfect."
I always ask our brides to tell us how we did, and these were the sweet words Megan had to say!
"You all were amazing! I have used that word over and over, but it’s because it is so true! I just officiated a wedding and seeing how stressed the bride was about all of the details and coordinating with the vendors made me appreciate The Barn even more. Even being an out of state bride with a short engagement you accommodated my needs perfectly!" - Megan
Megan and Daniel, thank you SO MUCH for choosing The Barn as your wedding venue! It was an honor! We wish you nothing but the very best life has to offer! xoxoxoxoxo
I hope y'all adore this wedding as much as I do! It's so pretty, it hurts. I'm not even sure what that means. But... yeah. LOVE. ;)
