Shelby + Josh's Neutral Fall Wedding

As much as we love an over-the-top wedding at The Barn, sometimes it's nice to do something a little more simple and understated. The wedding I'm sharing with y'all today was just that! A soft, neutral color palette. Baby's breath, ivory roses, gorgeous greenery and a few succulents. Simply beautiful tablescapes. Sometimes a wedding without a bunch of frills turns out to be the prettiest of all!

These photos were taken by Sterling Imageworks, and they are beautiful. Y'all will love this one!

Shelby and Josh were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on September 26, 2015. Their color palette included pewter, ivory, gray and silver, with pops of marsala. "I felt like it was a nice neutral, and I love the color gray," Shelby said. She liked that the color scheme felt fall-appropriate without being overly fall-ish! The decor at this wedding was simple and stunning.

Shelby's gorgeous dress came from David's Bridal, and it was just as simple and beautiful as the rest of her wedding details! I love this classic silhouette on her!

The bouquets and floral arrangements at this wedding were a little bit classic, a little bit boho, and completely stunning! An assortment of ivory roses, lots of greenery, a few succulents, and pops of pink and marsala. This bridal bouquet is breathtaking! Shelby said it was "very heavy." I think our brides are always surprised at how heavy bouquets are! I know I am!

Shelby and Josh had a sweet ceremony with some seriously pretty details. This altar arrangement is unbelievable! The photo of Josh seeing his bride for the first time as she walks down the aisle... Priceless! Ladies, that's how your man should look at you. :)

"It was hot and I don't really remember much about the actual ceremony," Shelby said. "But I'll remember that by pictures and that's what's important. And I also have my man by my side everyday."

These portraits of Shelby and Josh taken after their ceremony are sweet and gorgeous! These two look so good together, and it's obvious how much they love each other.

I keep saying that if anything bad happened, I don’t know about it. It was beautiful and everything I imagined. I’d love to do it again year after year.

This couple had a simply pretty reception with plenty of unique details. Their tablescapes were soft and simple, with gray tablecloths, white runners, white and silver place settings, mercury glass vases, and small, beautiful floral arrangements. There was plenty of baby's breath! One unique detail: rabbit feeders full of flowers! "I love lanterns and candles and light bulbs," Shelby said, so our team made sure to incorporate plenty of gorgeous light, like the bulbs hanging over the head table. They also had a glittery silver backdrop behind the head table, as well as a simple cake by theCakePlace.

I love that you guys made it so easy for a wedding. I had just moved to California from Arkansas, and to plan a wedding that far away could have been a nightmare. But it was nothing but a piece of cake.

At the end of the evening, the newlyweds had a sparkly, romantic grand exit. They have yet to go on a honeymoon, but since they live in California, Shelby says they have plenty of opportunities for weekend trips! "We also decided to go to Hawaii for Christmas to visit my sister, so that's not too shabby," she said. Nope, not too shabby at all!

I asked Shelby for some feedback about how we did through her wedding planning meetings and on her wedding day. Here's what she had to say! "I can't say enough good things about The Barn. Like I said, I would love to do it year after year. The end result was amazing and I couldn't have picked a better place. It was worth every penny absolutely!"

Shelby and Josh, thank you so much for choosing The Barn as your wedding venue! It was an honor, and we wish y'all a lifetime full of love and happiness! Have fun in Hawaii! xoxoxoxoxo

Soft and simple is such a pretty look for The Barn, don't you think?! Hopefully we see more simple, neutral weddings in the future, because they're totally underrated!
