Last week, I shared our gorgeous Wild West Gypsy styled shoot with y'all, and today, I want to give you a little sneak peek into what it looks like to work on a styled shoot at The Barn. Spoiler alert: it is NOT as glamorous as you might think. Our team works reallyyyy hard to put these shoots together. They work for weeks or even months to come up with a theme, find the best vendors to work with, and perfectly put together every detail. It takes a lot of hard work and preparation, but it sure is fun!
Paxton Goates came to our Wild West Gypsy shoot to take some behind-the-scenes photos of what a typical shoot day looks like. When we do styled shoots, our team meets at The Barn really early in the morning. It's usually cold. While our models are getting their hair and makeup done, our team is running around like crazy, dressed in sweats and freezing! They put the finishing touches on floral arrangements, table decor, and any other details that the shoot involves. There's lots of ladder climbing, dress fluffing, last minute bouquet finishing, detail making, model posing, outfit fixing, and dog wrangling, just to name a few things that go on. Here is just a little peek at what our shoots look like behind the camera!

See what I mean?! It takes a lot of (hard, non-glamorous) work to pull off one of these stunning shoots! I never knew how much went into one until last year's Native American Heritage styled shoot. And now I have a huge appreciation for all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into one of these shoots. It takes A LOT of people and A LOT of time and effort. Whew!
