Emaly + Thomas' Bohemian Chic Fall Wedding

One of my favorite things about working at The Barn is seeing our team pull off drastically different weddings from weekend to weekend. One Saturday, we may have a pink and gold glam wedding, and then our team is working on a rustic-chic or bohemian masterpiece the very next weekend (or sometimes the next day!). The wedding I get to share with y'all today happened just a few weeks ago, and it was one of our prettiest, most unique bohemian weddings ever. The florals were stunning, and the details were out of this world.

Their photographer, BJ Matthews from B.Matthews Creative, captured this couple's big day perfectly... He is quickly becoming one of my favorite photographers after seeing these photos! I know you'll be crazy about them, too!

Emaly and Thomas were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on November 22, 2015. Their colors were gold, gray and jewel tones, with bohemian-chic vibes. "I’ve always been a sucker for gold and its bohemian vibe but when it came to other colors I wasn’t sure what I wanted until I thought about how pretty it would be to place bold colors alongside it," Emma said. "I picked deep reds, purples, pinks, and greens that were vibrant, but still natural enough to compliment The Barn's existing elements. I chose the charcoal gray because it was neutral and balanced the other colors really well."

Just because I haven't shown off our pretty signage in a while. :)

Emma wore a Hayley Paige bridal gown from Tesori Bridal in Fayetteville. It had unique details and texture and a gorgeous belt. She also wore the prettiest greenery crown, Vince Camuto shoes with a sweet note from her groom on the bottom, and a funny, awesome detail sewn onto her dress. :) This girl is such a lovely bride!

Emma's bridesmaids wore Angelina Faccenda gowns in the loveliest shade of gray. The groom wore a dark gray suit with a gold tie, and the groomsmen wore light gray with gold bow ties. The gold ties were awesome! SO much pretty in this bridal party!

As I mentioned before, the bouquets and floral arrangements at this wedding were full of rich colors and greenery... they were unbelievable! "I have always been an outdoorsy girl with a love for nature so when I was picking out flowers for my bouquets, I wanted them to look natural but still stand out," Emma said. "I went with pale anemones and dusty miller because they have always been my favorite. As for the other flowers, I simply wanted something to reflect my color scheme and I think they all worked really well! The hanging amaranthus made my bouquets unique!"

Emma and Thomas chose to have a first look before their ceremony, and it was one of the sweetest moments of their day! "There are so many moments that stood out to me, but my favorite one had to be the first look with Thomas," she said. "Walking up behind him in my dress was so nerve wracking and exciting at the same time. I’ll never forget the look on his face when I turned him around and he saw me! We were both speechless and couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. I think that was the first moment, even before the ceremony, where we saw each other as husband and wife." This couple is so precious, and I am obsessed with their first look photos and the romantic portraits that followed!

Emma and Thomas' ceremony decorations were bohemian chic at its finest and prettiest! Their altar was certainly one of our most unique, with floral arrangements in rich colors and tons of greenery, hanging bottles filled with flowers, and stunning hanging amaranthus. "My favorite wedding detail had to be the hanging bottles at our altar," Emma said. "They were so beautiful and I was a bit iffy about suggesting the idea but it made our arbor unique and creative."

Their other ceremony details included logs with candles in vases (how romantic!), red petals lining the aisle (they made such a statement!), a guestbook table with the prettiest arrangement, and the pure magic that is fall at The Barn. It's seriously so pretty out here in late November. It made their wedding day even more dreamy! Their ceremony was beautiful, romantic and magical.

Our wedding was such a magical day and I never imagined that it would be so flawless. Every aspect of our wedding went so smoothly and was exactly how I envisioned it! The Barn staff did such a great job at portraying the style I wanted and making sure that my husband and I were satisfied every step of the way!

My favorite part about getting married at The Barn was that it is such a reflection of Arkansas and its natural beauty. It feels like home. It’s a fairytale when you pull up and see it nestled in the woods and it is just so welcoming. I think transitioning something as simple as a barn into something so beautiful is a huge task and it makes it that much more special when it’s that unexpected!

Emma and Thomas' reception had so many gorgeous details... their tables had plenty of rich, colorful florals and gold, boho-chic details! They included dark purple runners, gold and white place settings with purple napkins, gold vases, floral arrangements that matched their bouquets, wooden table numbers, place cards and mismatched vintage glassware.

They also included personal touches, which I always love. "I tried to incorporate the journey my husband and I have had together into our day because I wanted our guests to see how much we had grown together and how much we’ve experienced as a couple," Emma said. "I think providing a background allows everyone to have insight into just how much you love one another. We had framed facts about ourselves and wishes that we have for each other. We also displayed pictures from throughout our relationship which were a bit comedic but they definitely brought a lot of smiles to everyone’s faces!"

The cake at this wedding was just straight up ridiculous. I mean that in a good way, of course! It had an amazing gold floral pattern and a "best day ever" cake topper! It also had rustic wood doors with glittery, gold fabric for a backdrop, which made it even more awesome.

One final, fabulous detail from this reception: edible favors! "We had homemade salted caramels for our favors and let me tell you, they were delicious!" Emma said. "Luckily we had leftovers!"

The rest of their reception included a first dance, cake cutting, bouquet and garter tosses, dancing with their loved ones, and a sparkler getaway!

Emma and Thomas are about to move back to Arkansas from Florida, so they haven't been able to go on a honeymoon yet. But they plan to soon, and knowing these two, it'll be amazing!

Finally, I asked Emma to give us some feedback on how we did. Here's what she had to say about us! "I was beyond impressed with the staff at The Barn! Every step of the way, I was catered to and felt so comfortable and stress free. I feel like so many brides don’t enjoy their wedding day because they have so much to handle, but with The Barn, all of your worries are gone. I loved how when I seemed nervous I was given words of encouragement or helped in every way possible. This whole experience from start to finish was so easy and I am very thankful for everyone who played a part in our big day! I don’t have a single complaint to offer!"

Emma and Thomas, thank you so much for choosing us as your wedding venue! We LOVED working on your big day with you! It was stunning, and we wish y'all the very best!!! xoxoxoxoxo

If this wedding doesn't start your weekend on a magical note, I don't know what will! Our staff Christmas party is tonight, so look for photos/stories from that. ;) Have a great weekend!
