This stunning summer 2015 wedding had it all. The theme was rustic-chic, but there were plenty of glam, girly details, too. Boots and glitter. Mason jars and ruffles. It was Southern and sweet, and the details were impeccable! The bride and groom were a gorgeous couple. The photography was some of the prettiest we've seen. There were lush pink florals. And the bride wore the prettiest dress we've ever laid eyes on. Did I mention that the details were amazing?! And you miiiight recognize these photos from a little magazine called Southern Weddings. Yes, that Southern Weddings magazine. I know, we are still freaking out, too!
These photos were taken by Lela & Lyla, and they are truly some of our favorite wedding photos ever. There's a reason we chose these for a full-page national ad, y'all! I know you're going to freak out over this wedding, just like we all did. ;)
Kassie and Adam were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on June 13, 2015. Their color palette included neutral browns and greens, blush pink, and gold accents. "We wanted something really subtle but still beautiful," Kassie said. "We love anything rustic, so that played a lot into our theme."
Kassie's bridal gown came from Low's Bridal, and it is truly one of the most gorgeous gowns we've ever seen! The lace! The train! The silhouette! The back! And THE BOOTS! Oh my goodness, the boots. We are still swooning over this bride's entire look! Kassie, you are a truly flawless bride!
The bridesmaids wore lovely dresses from Ann's Bridal, with some seriously sweet boots. I love that Kassie's maid-of-honor wore a floor-length dress, while the other bridesmaids wore shorter dresses. Plus, have you ever seen cuter flower girls?! The groom and his groomsmen wore classic khaki suits with champagne colored ties. I love these colors together! It's classic and neutral, but not at all boring.
Kassie's bouquets and floral arrangements were full and feminine, with pink and white flowers, some texture that kept them from feeling too girly, and the prettiest greenery. They included peonies, scabiosa pods, pink roses and dahlias, just to name a few. Kassie's bouquet also had an extra special, sentimental addition: her late grandfather's wedding ring, "as a small remembrance of him as I walked down the aisle," she said. We love precious details like that!
"Like many other brides, I’m sure, I found a bouquet on Pinterest that I loved!" she said. "I showed the picture to everyone at our meeting and when I got to The Barn on our wedding day, I was beyond excited to see that they incorporated all of the elements of that bouquet that I loved, and even 'one-upped it.' I was in love with all of the bouquets; the staff understood my ideas so well and put them all to life."
This is one of the prettiest engagement rings I've seen in a while! Simply stunning. And how cute are these boutonnieres with pink roses + wine corks? LOVE!
Kassie and Adam's ceremony decor was oh, so pretty. They had antique doors and windows to the entrance of their ceremony... the doors were opened right as Kassie walked down the aisle, which made Adam's first time seeing her even more special and romantic! They chose mason jars with small bouquets lining the aisle, and two large, offset pink floral arrangements for their altar. One of Kassie's favorite details was a pink petal aisle that made their ceremony site complete.
"Everything about our wedding was so us!" Kassie said. "Instead of doing something traditional such as sand or candles, for our unity ceremony we did a fight box. We had a box made, put a bottle of wine in, wrote a letter to each other, and nailed it shut. It’s just a little something for when our first big 'fight' comes along that we can cool down and remember why our marriage is so important to us, and the love we share."
Can't get enough of this tiny flower girl! Precious! Never has a flower crown been so cute.
"I will never forget the look on Adam’s face when I walked down the aisle," Kassie said. "I had kept it together all day, and was really just happy and not emotional at all. However, as soon as the doors opened at the back of the aisle, neither one of us could hold it together. I didn’t want to do a first look, so this was a really special moment for us, and I’m so happy we could share it with all of our family and friends."
Ladies, this is how your groom should look at you when you walk down the aisle! Wink, wink.
"I was lucky enough to have both my dad and stepdad walk me down the aisle!" Kassie said. "That was so special for me to be able to share with two very important men in my life."
After saying their I do's, Kassie and Adam snuck away for a few moments to themselves and to take some really stunning portraits together. I love these! They are so romantic and dreamy. And there really is nothing like that newlywed glow!
Kassie and Adam's reception started off with a cocktail hour on the lawn of The Barn. This area is always so beautiful when it's all dressed up with pretty linens and a few floral arrangements! Another exceptional detail from their cocktail hour: this fun, unique entree card display, with pictures of a chicken or a cow, depending on their guests' entree choice.
And would you look at this view! It sure is pretty out here.
Kassie and Adam's reception was full of rustic chic, glam details. They had neutral, brown linens and our famous sequined chevron table runners. Their tables were lined with lush pink florals. The place settings combined glam pink and gold with burlap.
Aside from her reception tables, one of Kassie's favorite details of the day was the sweetheart table she shared with Adam. Their table details were SO sweet. I really love that little pink mason jar and the R. And those flowers... they are stunning! Their chairs also had sweet little Mr. and Mrs. chalkboard signs, as well as a single pink peony.
Now let's talk about the food! Kassie and Adam served their guests a delicious steak dinner, and they also had an ice cream bar with the sweetest pink ruffle backdrop. So fun! Their incredible naked cake was just as tasty as it was beautiful, and I'm always totally into our gold, sequined cake table backdrop!
A couple more fun little details: these Mr. and Mrs. glasses and engraved mason jars, which were Kassie and Adam's favors for their guests.
Kassie and Adam spent the rest of their reception with their first dance as husband and wife, cutting their cake, a father-daughter and mother-son dance, a bouquet and garter toss, and partying with their family and friends. These two had a really fun band, which kept the party going late into the night!
At the end of the night, the newlyweds made their grand exit through a bunch of sparklers!
"We left one week after our wedding and went on a weeklong trip to Cancun," Kassie said. "After all of the hustle and bustle of the wedding, it was so nice to be able to spend some quality time with each other, just relaxing."
I always ask our brides to give us some feedback, and Kassie had some really sweet things to say about us! "Everyone at The Barn was fantastic!" she said. "My planner, Victoria, was so easy to work with, and helped me so much throughout the whole planning process. All of the staff was absolutely amazing! They made our day perfect for us, down to the very last detail. They don’t hesitate to make your day anything and everything you could ever want it to be! Adam and I are forever grateful to Lesleigh and her team for giving us the wedding of our dreams, and so much more!"
Kassie and Adam, it was an honor to plan your wedding with you! We loved every delicious detail! We wish you the very best life has to offer! xoxoxoxoxo
See why we're absolutely crazy about this wedding? We'll be talking about this one for a long, long time! So many incredible details! And yeah, the dress... nothing will ever compare. ;)
