Wedding Inspiration: Rose Quartz & Serenity

Just a few days ago, Pantone released their 2016 Color of the Year. And this year, it's actually TWO gorgeous colors, instead of just one! Say hellooo to Rose Quartz and Serenity, the prettiest pastel pink and blue you ever did see. While these colors are sort of reminiscent of something you'd see at a baby shower for twins, that wasn't their intention. According to their website, "Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace." You can read more about these colors here. (These folks get really deep about colors, y'all.)

At The Barn, these shades are similar to colors that we've been using for a long, long time! Blush is one of our most popular wedding colors, and we are looooving light blue as well. So basically, we couldn't be happier about 2016's Color of the Year and we hope to see a whole bunch of Rose Quartz and Serenity next year! Here are some pretty ways to use these shades in your own wedding:

P.S. 2015's Color of the Year was Marsala, which I posted all about here!
