Brittany + Jacob's Blue & Coral Wedding

If your neck of the woods is feeling anything like mine right now, you probably need a reminder that warmer days are ahead. This cerulean blue and coral wedding has a fun, beachy vibe, and it's sure to make you feel warmer, even if it feels like 20 below outside! These photos were taken by Shingleur Photography, one of our preferred photographers, and they're just the prettiest.

Brittany and Jacob were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on June 6, 2014. Their wedding colors were blue and coral, with pink and yellow accents. "I really love the colors of the sunrise, so I chose bright colors that I thought would make the wedding pop," Brittany said.

Their decor was elegant, but with a fun, beachy vibe, and it sure was pretty! Speaking of pretty, aren't you in love with Brittany's dress?! It came from Low's Bridal, and it's stunning. That train! That lace! My goodness. And those shoes! I love a bride who goes all out with her accessories!

Brittany's bridesmaids wore gorgeous one-shoulder, floor length dresses from Danielle's Bridal. I'm a big fan of this look for the groom, groomsmen and ring bearer, too!

The flowers at this wedding were so pretty. Brittany said she wanted the style of the bouquets to be classic and timeless, and she said the flowers ended up being one of her favorite details from her big day!

"I wanted the bouquets to offset the bridesmaids' dresses," Brittany said. "So I chose the minor colors of my sunrise theme to spice up the blue of the dresses. My bridesmaids' bouquets had roses and a mixture of other flowers to give them a textured look. My bouquet was made of classic white David Austin roses."

The groom wore a classic, simple white boutonniere, while the groomsmen wore pink ones. The arrangements used for their ceremony and reception were similar to the bridesmaids' bouquets, and they were gorgeous!

Brittany and Jacob's ceremony decor was gorgeous. Their altar was draped with intertwining layers of blue and coral satin, with the prettiest pink floral arrangements at the corners. Their aisle was lined with small floral arrangements tied with blue and coral ribbons.

Like so many  of the weddings we've had at The Barn, it rained on this sweet couple's wedding day! And then, because The Barn is a magical place, it stopped just in time for the ceremony. ;)

"I just remember thinking I wouldn't have a bright, sunny day for my wedding," Brittany said. "It was about 2:00 pm, and it was storming like crazy, but Lesleigh said, 'Nope, the sun is going to shine.' It did! I was so relieved and surprised by the faith she had."

Brittany said the ceremony was her favorite part of the day. "I was given a baby Bible when I was born," she said. "I walked down the aisle to my step-dad who handed it to me. I was glad to have been able to incorporate this into my ceremony... My favorite wedding detail had to have been saying my vows to Jacob and quoting from scripture. He cried the whole time. Now I'm trying not to cry just thinking about it!"

I had such a wonderful time. Even though I was nervous, all the help I got from the staff gave me a peace that helped tremendously. Plus seeing my husband down the aisle just made it all perfect. The reception was lovely. All the decorations were beautiful.

After their super sweet ceremony and the kiss, the newlyweds had a few beautiful portraits taken. These are always my favorite photos from any wedding day! That newlywed glow, though. :)

Brittany said one of her favorite pictures from her wedding day is that last picture, of her and Jacob in front of their altar. How romantic!

Brittany and Jacob's reception decor was stunning, as well. The tables had blue tablecloths with wire vases, pretty pink floral arrangements and blue candlesticks. Their place settings included simple, elegant white plates with coral napkins. Lovely! They had a simple, off-white cake from theCakePlace that was covered in beautiful flowers.

Another one of Brittany's favorite moments from the day came at the reception. She said she'll never forget her dance with her dad! "We laughed the whole time we danced to Stevie Wonder's 'Isn't She Lovely,'" she said. "Great times!"

These photos from Brittany and Jacob's first dance are so romantic!

That train!!! Swooooon.

After their reception, Brittany and Jacob made their grand exit through a tunnel of sparklers. My favorite! They ran away to Montego Bay, Jamaica, for their honeymoon! "We stayed at a Sandals resort and just had all kinds of fun swimming with dolphins, sight-seeing and zip-lining!" Brittany said. Perfection!

As always, I asked Brittany to give us some feedback on how we did. She said some super sweet things about us that I'd like to share!

"I could not have been happier with all of it. I remember there was a time right before I went outside to walk down the aisle that I got super nervous, but there was someone with me that just kept talking to me to calm me down. My wedding planner was so organized and super calm throughout the whole thing. Cindy impressed me majorly, and it was so nice to know I had someone who knew what they were doing. You guys made my day magnificent! I had a great time and some great memories. Thank you for making it all possible." - Brittany
