Kelsey and Gueorgui's wedding day is quickly approaching (April 17!), and we are so excited about this one! Remember when I told you all about their initial consultation? In case you've forgotten, this wedding's theme is forest-woodland-chic. The groom's family is from Bulgaria, so it's going to be full of Bulgarian food and traditions! Yesterday, Kelsey came for their 30 day meeting, and if you've never been to a 30 day meeting at The Barn, I'd like to tell you all about it.
For this meeting, Cindy (Kelsey and Gueorgui's wedding planner) wrote up a detailed wedding itinerary. This fills everyone in on when they need to show up at The Barn on the wedding day, including the bride and groom, bridal party, and the photographer. It also lists set-up times for our team, theCakePlace, and Blue Willow Catering. It gives precise times for the first look, bridal party photos, when the bride walks down the aisle, when The Barn doors open, etc... It is extremely detailed. For example, at this wedding, the cake cutting will go down at approximately 8:40 p.m! Our planners leave nothing out on these itineraries... we want our couples to know exactly what order things are going to happen in, and approximately what time they'll happen, so they can know what to expect and not be stressed at all!
At this meeting, we also go over the ceremony and reception details, floral details, and the menu, just to make sure the bride's wishes haven't changed. If the couple decides to make changes, we still have time! For example, Kelsey decided that she probably wouldn't have assigned seating at her reception, and she would have a few reserved tables instead. This is totally fine, and it's exactly why we schedule a 30 day meeting with each of our couples. There wasn't a lot that Kelsey wanted to change, but she did add a couple of Bulgarian appetizers to her cocktail menu, a photo scavenger hunt for the kids (super fun!), and a few other things for the reception.
Finally, this meeting also gives our couples a chance to ask any last-minute questions. Kelsey had a few questions for us, and this meeting gave our team a chance to put any worries she had at ease!
Here's a little sneak peek of Kelsey's wedding inspiration from her Pinterest board. Judging by these photos, this wedding is going to be unforgettable!
This wedding is going to be seriously incredible! A few of the things I'm looking forward to most about this wedding: her reception table decor, her gorgeous flowers (tons of greenery, y'all! TONS!), the menu (oh my gosh!!!), a unique dessert bar, and several unique details for the ceremony. I can't wait to tell y'all all about it next month!
