Hannah + James' Vintage Wedding

I truly love every wedding that we have at The Barn. They are all my favorites in their own way! But I think my absolute favorite theme for a wedding at The Barn is one that's a little bit feminine. There is just something about the rustic beauty of The Barn and its surroundings paired with sweet, feminine details like lace and pink flowers. It's so unbelievably pretty!

Today's wedding was one of our most feminine weddings, with lots of pink details and pretty lace. And it sure was gorgeous and romantic! These lovely photos were taken by the bride's aunt, Diane Race of From This Day Forward Bridal Consulting

Hannah and James were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on October 26, 2013. Their theme was vintage-inspired, with sweet, feminine details. They didn't choose a color scheme; instead, Hannah said she wanted the color palette to be "just anything that would be antique-related." Their decor ended up being mostly pink and gold, with a few vintagey, muted hues.

Like so many of the weddings we've hosted at The Barn, Hannah and James' wedding day was rainy and cloudy... but like most of our rainy-day weddings, the sun came out just in time. :) "While getting ready, it started pouring rain," Hannah said. "By the time we got to The Barn, they were already planning to have the ceremony inside The Barn. But just in time, the sun came out and they were able to set everything up outside." Magic, y'all.

Hannah's amazing dress was from Rendezvous Formal Wear, and it was gorgeous on her! This dress is elegant, yet so fun. She also wore these great nude pumps... I love a bride who wears awesome shoes!

I don't always show off the bride's engagement ring, but this one is too gorgeous not to share! LOVEEEE. Major heart eyes.

Hannah's bridesmaids' dresses, also from Rendezvous, were elegant, timeless and beautiful. These girls are stunning!

Y'all know we love a bridal party in boots! <3

I just looove this look for the groom and groomsmen. Gray + pink is probably my favorite color combination for the guys. This look is a little bit vintage, and 100% handsome.

This bridal party also had two adorable, well-dressed little attendants! These two are precious, and Hannah did an excellent job with their vintage-inspired attire!

This wedding party is SO PRETTY. These colors are stunning together. I can't get over how beautiful these people look!

This wedding was a little bit different than most of our weddings, because the groom's grandma actually provided the bouquets!

"My husband's grandmother is a retired florist and wanted to provide them for us," Hannah said. "She had old rings and brooches and mixed them in with the flowers. My grandfather had passed away in January that year. And James' great grandfather had passed in July, so his grandmother made little cameos with their pictures and hung them on the bouquet. That meant the world to me."

Bouquets that have photos or little trinkets representing someone special are the best. This bouquet is not only beautiful, but it's incredibly sweet and meaningful as well!

Hannah said her favorite moment of the day was her first look with James. We love it when a bride and groom choose to do a first look! It calms their nerves and is the best, sweetest photo opportunity.

Hannah and James' ceremony details were vintage-inspired goodness. Their guestbook table was full of pearls, lace and vintage pretties. Their aisle was lined with logs, candles (so romantic in the gloomy weather) and beautiful pink and white flower arrangements, with a few succulents to keep them from being too girly. Their altar was draped with lace and had gorgeous flowers and greenery along the top.

Everything was just the way I had imagined. I loved everything.

This ceremony was very sweet... these two are so in love!

I loved that I could have an outside wedding and have my reception inside and not have to travel to do so. I also loved the buildings that we could get ready in and hang out before.

After the ceremony, Hannah and James and their guests moved inside The Barn for a vintage, sweet, romantic reception. The reception details included pink and gold details, vintage jewelry, burlap and lace, gold-painted bottles and wooden boxes, pink mason jars, vintage white vases, candles, a few rustic details, sweet pink and white place settings, and gorgeous flowers by The Barn. They also had vintage buttons and other items provided by their families... what a sweet detail!

"Our mothers and grandmothers had old jewelry and sentimental items that we had there," Hannah said.

Their sweetheart table was precious! I love these gold letters.

These two had some really fun, cute favors!  "My mom made a candy bar that had saltwater taffy in apothecary jars and little bags to fill up," Hannah said.

Another fabulous detail from this reception: the cake! TheCakePlace always does the best job. This cake is so detailed and pretty! I love the little bird cake toppers.

The rest of the evening included a sweet first dance, bouquet and garter tosses, a wardrobe change for the bride (LOVE that dress!), and a fun, romantic sparkler exit!

As always, I asked Hannah to let us know how we did, and her answer was short and sweet: "Everyone at The Barn was so attentive and helped us so much. All of my ideas that I had were brought out and were perfect. Completely stress free!"

Hannah and James, it was an honor to get to be a part of your big day! It was beautiful, and we with y'all a lifetime full of love and happiness! xoxoxoxo
