Sometimes at The Barn, we get to do really over-the-top, detailed weddings with very unique themes. The wedding I get to share with you today is one of those! This wedding was about as bohemian as it gets, with a free-spirited hippie vibe and lots of color. These photos were taken by Shingleur Photography, one of our preferred photographers, and I'm so excited to share the details of this wedding with y'all!
This wedding took place in September of 2013, which is such a pretty time at The Barn! Some of the most beautiful details from this wedding were the flowers. They were a mix of colorful roses and more textured elements, like succulents, billy balls and lotus pods. Our team also incorporated glittered feathers (yes!!!) into some of the arrangements, and those were hands-down one of the best details from this wedding. Some of the arrangements even had protea, which I am one million percent obsessed with right now.
The bridesmaids carried mismatched bouquets, and look how gorgeous they are! (Even more proof that our floral designer, Ginger, can pull off ANY look or style!) The bride's bouquet used flowers from the bridesmaids' bouquets, creating a stunning mix of color and texture. The groomsmen wore shotgun shell boutonnieres.
Another detail from this wedding that was just ahhhh-mazing? The altar! My goodness! It was composed of ribbons in every bright, rich, beautiful color EVER. There were also lanterns hanging from the altar.
And would you look at that aisle? Our log trios + colorful floral arrangements... boho-chic perfection!
This wedding also had one of our more unique guestbook tables. (I shared many of our guestbook tables in this post.) The sign says, "Light a prayer candle for the bride and groom." Isn't that a great idea? This whole set-up is lovely, too, and I just can't get enough of those colorful blooms!
Now let's talk about the totally #sassfab reception table decor! These tables were filled with soooo many great details, including: gold cow skulls, plenty of those gorgeous, colorful flower arrangements, dream catchers, painted bottles, colorful lanterns and burlap runners. Yes, I know what you're thinking... these tables are RIDICULOUS. And ridiculously AWESOME. Perfect for a free-spirited couple with a love for all things hippie, bohemian and colorful (let's see how many times I can use that word in this post)!
Finally, with so many over-the-top details, you've gotta have a simple cake. And that's what this couple chose: a messy, rustic-chic white cake with succulent accents and a cute burlap bunting cake topper. Of course the cake had a fabric strip backdrop and bohemian details on the table!
It's not every weekend that we get to put together a wedding with a unique, fun theme. So our team really went all out with this one, and it's one of those weddings that I keep coming back to time and time again! A theme like this is certainly not for everyone, but I think we can all agree that these details were incredible!
2015 brides, I hope some of y'all have themed weddings up your sleeves. Pretty please!
