I'm so excited to share today's wedding with y'all! This one is extra special. It was The Barn's first wedding of 2015, and the first wedding from this year I've ever shared on this blog! This wedding was extraordinary. The bride wore not one, but two stunning dresses, the decor was beautiful, and even though it rained and the ceremony had to be moved indoors, it was still magical.
Brittany and Tyler were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on March 12, 2015. Their wedding colors were navy, cream and coral. "We decided that we wanted it to be rustic yet elegant, which is exactly what we got," Brittany said.
Although Brittany and Tyler's wedding day ended up being chilly and rainy, it was still beautiful! When you choose The Barn, even your rainy day back-up plan is going to be pure magic. :)
"Aside from it raining all day, everything was perfect," Brittany said. "We had hoped on having an outside wedding, but when the rain pushed us inside, we were not disappointed! It was just as, if not more beautiful than it would’ve been if it were outside. The decor was gorgeous and everything turned out perfect!"
Let's talk about Brittany's gorgeous dresses! Yes, dresses. This bride had a stunning tulle ballgown (from First Impressions), as well as a fun, short, sweet dress for the reception! The only thing better than one dress? Two gorgeous dresses! Loooove. Her bridals were taken at The Barn after we'd gotten a little bit of snow, and they're some of my very favorites.
And y'all know how we feel about a bride in boots! Love love love loveeee. I also adore these photos of this sweet bride with her girls and her mother!
The bridesmaids wore lace, navy dresses from JCPenney, which made their cream and coral bouquets really pop! The groomsmen wore jeans, white button-ups and navy vests. This bridal party is perfectly rustic-chic!
Most of the time when I ask our brides what their favorite wedding detail was, they say the flowers! What can I say?! Our floral designer, Ginger, is the best!
"My bridal bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and I wish I could have kept those flowers alive forever!" Brittany said. "It had all the colors I was wanting, plus some white hydrangeas. My bridesmaid’s bouquets were perfect as well. Their dresses were navy and the bouquets were white and coral and I think it worked great to tie in the coral we had as an accent color."
The groom and groomsmen wore coral boutonnieres.
Before their ceremony, Brittany and Tyler had a precious first look. In fact, Tyler said the thing he'll remember most about his wedding day was this: "How beautiful my wife was." These two are adorable! The portraits taken after their first look are so romantic and sweet!
Their ceremony, which was moved indoors due to rain, was absolutely beautiful and romantic. They incorporated a few details which really made this ceremony their own, including a sand unity ceremony. They brought burlap letters (B & T, of course!), as well as a really special guestbook.
"We had a friend of ours make our guestbook, which was completely wooden," Brittany said. "It was around 36 by 20 inches of wood and then painted with a tree and leaves for each guest to sign a different leaf. Also at the bottom was a buck and a doe, just for Tyler."
"Also, I am known for loving sparkles, so of course it was no surprise to any of our guests that our backdrop was white sparkles," she said. "Each of the members of our wedding party wore their own unique boots with their attire. Tyler and I did as well. On the bottom of my boots, I had ordered a couple of stickers from Etsy the said 'Mrs. Cook' and 'Est. 03.12.15.'"
The photo on the right is of their fun wedding favors! While they didn't plan to do favors, The Barn staff packaged up s'mores for their guests, since they weren't able to enjoy them by the fire pit.
After the kiss, the newlyweds took a few sweet, private moments to themselves.
"I will always remember the look on Tyler’s face as he looked at me," Brittany said. "I will never forget that he cried when we were up there in front of everyone saying our vows. I will never forget the feeling after we walked back down that aisle and out back and had a moment to ourselves where we just hugged and he told me how beautiful I was and realized that we were finally married after being engaged for a year and a half."
Brittany said her favorite detail of her wedding day was the sparkly white backdrop for their ceremony. Tyler's favorite detail was the gorgeous lighting in and around The Barn, including the string lights outside and our stunning chandeliers.
Some more of their favorite details were the ones at their reception! "I will also never forget how absolutely gorgeous The Barn decorations were," Brittany said. "The gold vases and bowls looked amazing with our flower choices."
Their tables were decorated with cream and navy linens, gold vases full of coral and white flowers, gold candlesticks, and the prettiest white, gold and navy place settings, which perfectly matched their color scheme. These tables are gorgeous!
They also had a simply beautiful cake table, with a simple, elegant cake by theCakePlace.
The rest of the evening was filled with first dances, including a father-daughter dance and a mother-son dance. The bride also changed into the sweetest little reception dress! Then these two lovebirds made their way through a tunnel of sparklers and off to their honeymoon. :)
For their honeymoon, Brittany and Tyler went to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! They stayed in a cabin in the woods, ate tons of good food, went on an alpine slide down the mountain, and they even went on a romantic ferris wheel ride on a mountaintop! Adventurous and romantic, all in one. Perfect!
I asked Brittany to let us know how we did throughout her wedding planning process and on her wedding day, and here's what she said: "The Barn staff did fabulous! Everything was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. It exceeded mine and my family’s expectations! Everyone there is so helpful and so great at making the experience stress free!"
Brittany and Tyler, we're so thankful that you chose The Barn as your wedding venue! It was such an honor to get to be a part of your best day ever! We wish y'all the very best! xoxoxoxoxo
