The gorgeous wedding I get to share with y'all today was my kind of shindig. This couple drove up to The Barn from their home in Texas, and they broke all the wedding rules. They didn't have a wedding party; they didn't have a strict wedding day timeline (the only scheduled event for their reception was the cake cutting); they had an incredible fireworks display (seriously!); and perhaps best of all, they were barefoot and carefree. This wedding was really a treat!
Breanna + Bryan were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on June 20, 2015. Their color palette was, as Breanna described it, "neutral and natural." Their theme was what we're calling bohemian-garden-rustic. It was relaxed, romantic and casual, while still completely stunning.
Breanna wore the loveliest gown from Sunday's Bridal in Richland Hills, Texas. She totally nailed the boho-chic look with that dress, her accessories and a beautiful crown of baby's breath! This bride didn't wear shoes, and we love a barefoot bride just as much as we love a bride in boots!
As I mentioned, Breanna and Bryan chose not to have a bridal party. Instead, they had three little flower girls (one was their adorable daughter) and a cute ring bearer. I'm sort of loving this idea lately. What a great way to keep things simple and avoid stressing out your friends with everything that comes along with being in a wedding. Being a bridesmaid/groomsmen can be a struggle, y'all! Anyway, their flower girls wore the sweetest nude ruffled dresses with flower crowns in their hair. Adorable!
Before the ceremony, Breanna and Bryan had a first look, and it was sweet and beautiful. The love these two have for each other is obvious in these photos!
Breanna said her flowers were "exactly how I pictured them." The bouquets and other arrangements included pink peonies, hydrangeas and lots of gorgeous greenery.
The ceremony was stunning. It was boho-chic, with a pretty garden vibe. The aisle was lined with logs topped with peony and hydrangea arrangements and lanterns. The altar was unreal... one of my absolute favorites! It was draped on one side with a blanket and had so much beautiful greenery, as well as peonies and hydrangeas. Their guestbook table, which Breanna said was one of her favorite details, was super sweet - it had a floral arrangement in a metal can, the cutest fans and a chalkboard sign. At the end of their aisle was a fabulous set-up that's new to The Barn... it's a rustic, vintage doorway and windows, and it is amazing.
The ceremony itself was sweet and simple, full of love and joy. One of Breanna's most memorable moments of the day came during the ceremony: "I will always remember holding our daughter during the ceremony," she said. "Even though it wasn’t planned, it was perfect!"
After they made their exit from the ceremony with their daughter in their arms, the newlyweds took a few portraits that are just beautiful. These two are ridiculously good looking! And you can tell by looking at these photos just how much they love each other. So darn sweet.
Breanna, you are such a beautiful bride!
The details at Breanna and Bryan's reception were just too good. The boho-chic-meets-garden theme continued throughout their decor. Their tables included brown linens, lace doilies, moss table runners, mismatched vintage glassware with simple white and gold place settings, lanterns, wine bottles wrapped with twine, wire vases, wood vases, metal watering cans and the loveliest floral arrangements. Too much prettiness! The Barn looks amazing in this style.
This wedding included one detail that I cannot get over: the prettiest drinks ever. "I’m a bartender turned realtor so I had a lot of fun coming up with my own cocktails for the wedding," Breanna said. Their signature cocktails included lavender-infused margaritas, lemon and lavender whiskeys, and a citrus cocktail with elderflower liquer. They were as pretty as they were tasty!
Breanna and Bryan also had a naked cake topped with berries from theCakePlace. It was the perfect cake for a wedding like this one: relaxed and casual, but still beautiful!
Another exceptional detail from this reception: handmade soap favors, which Breanna said were some of her favorite details. "They're fabulous!" she said. "We took the extras home and are still using them!"
The rest of this reception was pure awesomeness. There was dancing. There were silly, fun photobooth photos. There was a sparkler exit. There were fireworks! An amazing fireworks display, actually!!!
And at the end of it all, these two left for an amazing honeymoon to Guanacaste, Costa Rica for 7 days! "We had a blast hiking, going to the hot springs, snorkeling, fishing, massages on the beach, and fresh fish everyday! We would go back in a heartbeat," Breanna said.
Finally, I asked Breanna to let me know all about her experience with The Barn. Here's what she had to say about us: "Everything was just as how I imagined it in my head and more! It’s incredible how they were able to pick up on my style and everything I wanted just off of my Pinterest page! It made things so easy for me not having to pick it all out but it was so much more personalized than picking 'package A,B, or C.' I recommend your services to everyone!" Thank you so much, Breanna!
And thank y'all again for choosing us as your destination wedding venue! It was truly an honor, and we're so happy for you two! Best wishes! xoxoxoxoxo
See what I mean?! This one was really special. Any couple that chooses to keep their day relaxed and focused on their love for one another and having a good time with their family and friends... well, we're all about that.
