10 Barn Weddings: Amazing Altars (Part Three!)

Altars are a pretty important part of any wedding; they are where all the really important stuff goes down, after all! So it's highly important that they look extra pretty. Our altars at The Barn are always some of my favorite details from each wedding... we've never done the same altar twice, and they're always gorgeous in their own way! We've done just about every style or theme that you could think of, with tons of different fabrics and color combinations, and even in different spots all around The Barn (our outdoor ceremony area, inside The Barn, out on our lawn, etc.).

Last fall, I shared 20 of my favorite altars in two posts (part one and part two), but there are sooooo many stunning ones that still need to be shared! From super simple to over-the-top, here are 10 more altars and ceremony backdrops that I adore!

This altar was our most recent (from Amber + Matt's wedding just this past weekend!), and we are freaking out over it. Red and turquoise is a color combination we hadn't used until this wedding, and it was bold, stunning and such a breath of fresh air! We don't have the professional photos back yet, but we'll be sure to share them as soon as we see them! In the meantime, you can see a few more sneak peeks from this stunning wedding on our Instagram. (You've gotta check out those reception tables!)

Tulle makes my girly-girl heart go pitter-patter, and when you combine it with the most stunning peach and pink floral arrangements... well, I just about can't handle it. Megan + Daniel's wedding had a pretty peach and mint color palette, with a rustic-chic-meets-feminine-romantic theme. Their flowers were some of my all-time faves (hellooo, pink garden roses!), and I really just adored every dreamy detail of this sweet couple's day!

Every detail of Lindsey + Matt's wedding was fun and colorful, including their flowers, ceremony decor, reception tables and this fabulous altar! Their rustic theme paired perfectly with their bright, summery color palette. The old, rustic window + barrels combined with those pretty sunflowers and hydrangeas... be still, my heart! Another detail from this wedding that can't be missed: the vintage doors and windows at their ceremony entrance. It's a new set-up we have at The Barn, and it's sooo pretty!

I posted about A+J's "boho-chic, nature-inspired, fairy tale" wedding (yep, that's the official name I'm giving their theme) over a month ago, and I still haven't stopped obsessing over it. Every single detail was bohemian and beautiful. Their altar, which was draped with a boho-chic blanket, was maybe my favorite detail from this wedding. I also loved their flowers/flower crowns/A's floral belt, their beautiful purple color scheme, and the pretty details that lined their aisle. You've really just gotta see all the photos from this one!

Sometimes simple is the prettiest of all, and Mackenzie + Tyler's altar is proof! A gorgeous green garland, with just a few flowers, was all this altar needed to make a huge statement! This entire wedding was very elegant, with lots of greenery and gold accents. Their reception included glittery gold details (my fave!), simple place settings, more greenery, and a cake table that was totally fabulous. Plus, the bouquets at this wedding were MAGICAL. Seriously, y'all.

Katie + Alan's wedding was just too pretty for my pink-and-gold-loving-heart to handle. This one will be one of my favorites, forever. A stunning pink, gold and emerald color scheme. The most gorgeous bouquets of my life. A blush and ivory wedding gown (still freaking out over that). The prettiest reception tables. And this altar. I seriously cannot even deal with this level of prettiness.

(Sorry for all the Instagram pics, but these weddings are just too pretty not to share yet! I promise we'll share the professional photos from this wedding as soon as we can!) This altar is from a recent elopement that took place inside The Barn (always my favorite). How stunning is this thing?! Our drapes at The Barn's doors are pretty enough on their own, but add some floral arrangements, hanging lanterns and candles and swooooon! So simply pretty!

Burlap altars are totally underappreciated, if you ask me. Add a whole bunch of gorgeous color in the form of a couple floral arrangements, and you've reached rustic-chic perfection. Every inch of Cedrah + Lee's wedding was full of fun, bright color! Their colorful bouquets and arrangements were so pretty, and their colorful ceremony and reception details made this wedding one of our most fun ones yet.

Sorry, y'all. I can't stop talking about mine + Richard's wedding. It was perfect and the best day ever. Our lace altar was simple, romantic, dreamy and exactly what I was looking for. Other details of our wedding that I'm totally not over: our reception tables (complete with fancy, glittery dinosaurs... yup, we went there), the pink and gold tassels hanging over the lawn, our gorgeous flowers (my favorite of any wedding ever, sorry 'bout it), and the whole part where I got to marry my favorite person on earth. I'll shut up now. Moving on...

One more Instagram photo... oops. This one is from Hannah + Dallas' wedding this summer, and we're in love with it. Their theme was boho-chic and feminine, with pretty pink details all over the place. I believe this is only the second altar we've done with streamers, but I hope we'll see more of them! It's such a pretty way to make a statement. And those flower rings?! SWOON. You can see some photos from this wedding on their photographer's page right here

I hope your weekend is full of pretty things and lots of love! Have a great one!
