Help Hurricane Matthew Victims in the Bahamas!

Today's post is a little bit different. Instead of talking about the latest wedding trends or Barn Weddings, let's discuss a major disaster currently happening in our world that needs our attention much more than pretty photos and inspiration! By now, we've all heard of Hurricane Matthew and the damage it's done to Haiti and Florida, but a place that's very dear to one of our former brides has been significantly affected, too.

Nikki Fowler, a former Barn Bride and the editor of Glitter magazine, has asked us to share this crowdfunding page, which is raising money for the people of Andros, which is part of the Out Islands in the Bahamas. We have all heard how other areas have been affected by this hurricane, but personally, I hadn't heard of the devastation in the Bahamas until Nikki sent this our way. There has been major flooding and significant damage to this area of the Bahamas... Their schools are closed, their safety has been jeopardized, and they are in need of food, water and other relief supplies, which are difficult and expensive to get to this area.

The Bahamas are one of our most recommended honeymoon locations, and our boss Lesleigh loves this specific area of the Bahamas. "Andros has very good people," she said. There are about 8,000 people on the island, and Lesleigh said they are some of the kindest, most trustworthy people ever!

That's exactly why we're asking our dear readers to partner with Glitter magazine and the people of Andros to raise funds in a time when they desperately need help. If you feel the need to donate to people whose lives have been turned upside down by this hurricane, consider donating to Andros through this link

I know this is totally different than anything we normally post, but we love our Barn Brides and their hearts for people around the world! Our brides are some of the most philanthropic, giving, compassionate women around, and what's important to them is important to us! We are also huge fans of Glitter magazine and its #selflovecampaign. If you haven't checked it out on Facebook or Instagram, get ready to be seriously inspired!
