Happy November! Today's sweet little wedding happened one month ago today, and we are still loving these simple, rustic chic fall details! Leah and Parker's orange and brown color palette fit right into The Barn's fall landscape, and it couldn't have been a prettier day. Manda Standridge from Photos by Manda captured all the details of this pretty wedding, and I can't wait for you to see them!
Leah and Parker were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on October 1, 2016. Their color palette included dark orange, chocolate brown, gold and a few pops of turquoise. Their theme was rustic, simple and elegant. "I've always wanted a fall wedding and love the orange flowers against the chocolate brown dresses," Leah said.
Leah wore the most beautiful bridal gown from Danielle's Bridal. It was classic, and it was perfect for a simple, rustic wedding like this one. What a gorgeous bride! Oh, and that little embroidered "Mrs. Parker Ring" on the hem of her dress... Sweetest thing ever!
The bridesmaids wore classic, floor-length chocolate brown dresses, also from Danielle's Bridal. Leah and her bridesmaids carried simple, tailored bouquets of orange, yellow and ivory flowers. "My bouquets were beautiful!" Leah said. "They were so colorful and looked amazing against all my bridesmaids' dresses and my dress."
Leah was lucky enough to have TWO first looks on her wedding day: one with her dad, and one with Parker! First looks are always some of the sweetest moments of any wedding day, and these two were no different. Leah's dad and her husband-to-be were both overjoyed to see their beautiful bride!
P.S. The back of Leah's dress... S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G!
Leah and Parker's wedding day portraits are SO beautiful. The Barn in the fall, y'all... There is nothing like it.
Leah and Parker's ceremony details were simple, elegant, and a little bit rustic. Their aisle was lined with blue jars filled with orange and ivory flowers on shepherds hooks, as well as logs topped with lanterns. The top of their altar was wrapped with burlap, with small floral arrangements tucked in. At the base of their altar were logs topped with flowers, as well as larger lanterns.
"I will always remember the way I felt when I saw everything and when I walked don the aisle to Parker," Leah said. "Everything in that moment was nothing shy of perfect and I couldn't have been happier! All thanks to the hard work of everyone at The Barn!'
Leah said her favorite thing about getting married at The Barn was that she could be as involved as she wanted. "The details that I didn't care about were taken care of for me so that I was never stressed over little details," she said. "Whatever I wanted to contribute, I did, and the rest was taken care of by the wonderful staff! Everyone was so caring and sweet."
She wanted to do a few of the details herself, and I loved hearing what all she and her family contributed on her wedding day! "My mom made a quilt with our monogram on it to use as our guestbook, which worked out great!" she said. "I also made our ring boxes out of a cedar tree. I got a piece of wood that a beaver had chewed and drilled hols in it to hold the pens that were used to sign our guest quilt. My brother made a sign with our names on it in turquoise that was set up on our table inside The Barn."
One more fun detail Leah and Parker brought: koozies to give their guests! "I got koozies made that said 'Two less fish in the sea' with two fish on one side, and had 'Parker and Leah Ring' with our date on the other side," she said.
When their big day was over, Leah and Parker left The Barn and headed off to Tennessee to see the Smoky Mountains! "It was beautiful weather and neither of us had been there before, so it was new to us both," Leah said. "It was a wonderful adventure and so relaxing! We rented a cabin in Sevierville that was beautiful and got to see a lot of wildlife."
Leah and Parker, we so LOVED your sweet little fall wedding! Thank you so much for choosing The Barn and for allowing us to plan your big day with you! We wish y'all many, many happy years together! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
