Y'all, I'm not going to lie... Our fall 2016 wedding season was pretty amazing, and I'm thrilled to share another fall 2016 gem with you! This sweet Sunday afternoon wedding, from not even a month ago, was truly spectacular! There was a dreamy altar set-up, fun reception details, classic florals with a twist, an amazing bridal gown and veil (with a beautiful story), and so many other lovely details!
This wedding was extra special, because it was the last wedding shot by Lance Johnston (from Lance Johnston Photographers) before he retires from wedding photography! He captured Rebecca and Richard's big day beautifully, and I can't wait for you to see all the lovely details!
Rebecca and Richard were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on October 23, 2016. Their color palette was a gorgeous combination of navy, gold and pops of blush. Their theme was classic and timeless, but with enough fun, quirky details to keep things modern and on trend! Rebecca said she found ideas for many of their details on Pinterest, so you know they were cute! :)
Rebecca's bridal gown came from her sister and matron of honor, Jennifer! We looove a bride who wears a gown that's been passed down through her family! It's certainly not for everyone (I mean, have you seen some of the bridal gowns worn in your family in the past?! It's sometimes kinda scary). But this gown was classic, timeless and beautiful, and Rebecca looked absolutely gorgeous! The gown was silk, with a ruched bodice and a chapel train, and she paired it with a handmade lace shrug and a beaded silk belt. The veil had a pearl and lace flower blossom and was also worn by her mother, aunt, cousin and sister on their wedding days!
The bridesmaids wore strapless, knee-length, navy silk dresses from JJ's House, and the groom and his groomsmen wore navy tuxes with blush vests and ties. Classic and beautiful!
I also loved the bride and bridesmaids' monogrammed chambray shirts! They are the perfect getting ready shirt... They also make for great bridesmaids' gifts, and they are way cuter in pictures than sweats!
Rebecca chose bouquets and floral arrangements that were feminine, beautiful and classic, but with a fun, modern twist! She chose hydrangeas, peach garden roses, hypericum berries, Queen Anne's lace, baby's breath and seeded eucalyptus. She also added succulents and gold curly willow, which surrounded the top of her bouquet.
Rebecca and Richard chose to have a first look before their ceremony. It was the perfect opportunity to soak in a few moments together before the craziness that goes along with a wedding, and also a chance to get their butterflies out before their guests arrived! These two are so sweet with one another, and you can just feel their happiness in these photos!
Rebecca and Richard's ceremony details were stunning! They said their I do's in front of the dreamiest altar ever! It consisted of gold bottles filled with candles and a few roses, all within an antique fireplace mantel that was topped with the prettiest peach and white flowers. I'm sure you will be seeing this altar all over Pinterest soon! ;) Their aisle was lined with shepherd's hooks holding mason jars filled with small floral arrangements.
Rebecca's favorite details of the day: "The fireplace mantel - having it set up the way that I had imagined it to be. The location, and how beautiful the scenery was."
We believe that your wedding stationery can totally set the tone for your big day, and Rebecca and Richard's did just that. Their invitation suite was gorgeous, as was their save the date, bridal shower invitation, and their wedding programs!
Rebecca and Richard had a beautiful wedding ceremony, with a violinist playing and a backdrop of leaves that were beginning to change. They said their vows in front of their closest family and friends, and it was truly magical!
After their ceremony, Rebecca and Richard had a cocktail hour on The Barn's game lawn, followed by a beautiful reception. Their tablescapes included navy tablecloths, burlap and lace table runners, ivory place settings with blush napkins, floral arrangements in painted mason jars and wine bottles. They had a sweetheart table with the cutest gold "Mr. & Mrs." banner and a fun pinwheel backdrop.
Another of Rebecca's favorite details of the day was her cake display! She loved "how it was set up and done the way that I had requested," she said. She chose a small cake (with the cutest topper!) surrounded by cupcakes on wood pedestals. Richard chose a Deadpool groom's cake, and it turned out seriously awesome!
The newlyweds had a fun reception with their loved ones, with first dances, delicious food, cake cutting, all the fun traditions, and a cute bubble getaway! They send their guests home with strawberry chocolate fudge favors, and when their big day was over, they headed off to Chateau on the Lake in Branson, Missouri for their honeymoon. "We enjoyed the rest and relaxation of the beautiful resort and enjoyed time at the spa," Rebecca said.
Rebecca and Richard, we absolutely ADORED your wedding! Thank you so much for letting us plan it with you! We wish y'all the best! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
