This pretty little purple and turquoise, rustic chic elopement from last month is EVERYTHING! Barn elopements are always the best, y'all. If you're unfamiliar with our elopement collection, here's a little run-down: We ask the bride and groom to let us know the color palette they want, as well as an overall style. Then we get to work creating a unique, super detailed masterpiece! Our elopements are intimate, romantic, and absolutely stunning. Since our team has creative freedom on our elopements, they are truly some of our most gorgeous weddings! I'll do a whole post on elopements in the near future (so many of you are asking about them!), but that's a quick explanation! :)
Callie and Jaison Sterling from Sterling Imageworks are two of our favorite photographers to work with! They are so talented, and these photos will show you exactly why our couples LOVE them!
Pam and Scott were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on October 16, 2016. Their color palette was SO pretty - purple and turquoise, with ivory and chocolate accents. Pam said she found many of her ideas on Pinterest, and she wanted the theme to be "country bling." It was rustic chic with a few boho touches, and my goodness, was it pretty!
Pam chose a classic look for her wedding day. Her bridal gown came from David's Bridal, and it couldn't have been prettier on her! She accessorized with a simple veil and timeless accessories. We never get tired of a classic, beautiful bride!
Purple was hugely popular at The Barn this year, and we still haven't gotten tired of all the pretty purple florals! Pam's bouquet was a beautiful combination of blue hydrangeas, purple roses and purple lilies. It was tied with turquoise ribbon, and she also added several charms with photos of loved ones. What a special, meaningful detail!
"My bouquet was beautiful," Pam said. "The mixture of flowers and colors were more than I expected. The chocolate flowers even smelled like chocolate candy. The detailed bling was perfect and they added all my special charms I made to my bouquet. I loved it!"
I'm not sure we've ever seen a more joyful groom than Scott! These photos of his and Pam's first look show just how much he adores his new bride! Seriously the sweetest, most romantic first look ever.
Many of our couples book their weddings at The Barn without ever even visiting the property. Pam and Scott never saw The Barn before their wedding day! "We never visited the property before our wedding day and had no clue what our wedding day would look like," Pam said. "It took my breath away! I wish we would have had more time to take in every little detail. The flowers, the colors, the bling, the chandelier at the altar, the altar, the reception area, The Barn, the grounds, all the tables displaying our things, everything was perfect!"
Pam and Scott's ceremony was full of rustic chic vibes, with a little bit of boho! Their altar was sooo good. It had a sheer drape, tons of greenery, purple and blue flowers, and the most amazing mason jar chandelier (topped with more flowers, of course!). "I loved our altar and the chandelier was perfect!" Pam said.
Their aisle was lined with wood pieces painted with verses from 1 Corinthians 13, as well as shepherds hooks with mason jars and more gorgeous florals. They also had a fun guestbook! They asked their guests to take a photo with an instant camera, tape it in their guestbook and leave a little note!
Only Pam and Scott's closest loved ones were in attendance at their wedding, so it was very sweet and intimate. I loved their idea for Pam's walk down the aisle! She was first escorted by her dad, and then she walked part of the way with her daughters. Then she and Scott walked to the altar together. What a beautiful way to begin their new lives together!
Wedding portraits are always some of my favorite photos from any wedding, and these are not only gorgeous, but they also show just how many pretty places there are at The Barn to take wedding photos. One of the many things our brides LOVE about The Barn! Also, how adorable are these two?!
Our elopement collection includes a few reception details, as well as a cake and an unforgettable cake table! Their cake table included a turquoise tablecloth with a rustic wooden backdrop, a couple floral arrangements, the cutest "you & me" sign, and this stunning cake! We are loving that plain white cakes (topped with lots of pretty flowers) have made a comeback!
Another of Pam's favorite details from the day was their memory table. "We did a memory table of pictures of deceased family we wished could have been there," she said.
After sharing their first dance as husband and wife, cutting their cake, and making their grand exit (with sparklers!), Pam and Scott headed off on their honeymoon! "We went to Cancun for 6 days," Pam said. "It was our first time out of the country and it was beautiful! We went to an all-inclusive resort and they treated us like royalty."
I asked Pam to let us know how we did on her wedding day and throughout her planning experience, and this is what she said! "I loved the whole idea of building a Pinterest wedding board. It was fun and showed them exactly what I loved to make my day perfect. The planning season was stress free and fun. I really enjoyed working with our wedding planner. She was great. Our wedding day was PERFECT!"
Pam and Scott, we LOVED your amazing elopement! We couldn't be more thrilled that y'all chose The Barn! We wish y'all a lifetime full of love, happiness and adventures! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
