Sarah Beth + Dustin's Magical Purple Wedding

Take a break from all the election day drama for a few minutes and swoon over this gorgeous wedding with us!!! Oooh, how we loved this pretty purple wedding! Purple has been HUGE at The Barn this year, and we're not complaining one bit. We adore this sweet couple and their families!

Sarah Beth's mom, Eilish Palmer, is the photographer behind Lady with a Camera, and she was one of the photographers for her daughter and Dustin's wedding. But since being the mother of the bride AND the photographer is pretty much impossible, she also asked for some help from her super talented photographer friends, Karla Hall, Jane Goble and Linda Henderson. When you have FOUR amazing wedding photographers, you know it's gonna be good!

Sarah Beth and Dustin were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on September 10, 2016. Their color palette was a beautiful combination of shades of purple and dark grey, and Sarah Beth said their theme was "just as laid back as Dustin and I are." All of their details were romantic and simply magical!

"My favorite color and scent is lavender, so I knew we had to incorporate it as much as possible," Sarah Beth said. "The dark grey added a bit of depth to the lightness of the lavender. It was a very soft and classic pairing of colors to create the perfect atmosphere for our special day."

Sarah Beth's gown was gorgeous. It had serious vintage vibes, and the details were stunning. We also always LOVE an off-white dress, and illusion necklines are one of our favorite trends! She purchased it at The Bridal Cottage in Little Rock. "The staff there is simply amazing and I would recommend them to everyone looking for a dress!" she said.

The bridesmaids' dresses also came from The Bridal Cottage. Sarah Beth chose her dark grey accent color for the girls' floor-length gowns, and they were classic and beautiful! The one-shoulder style is always a winner! We also loved the guys' light gray pants and vests with purple bow ties. Oh, and in case you weren't aware... these guys are superheroes!

All of Sarah Beth's bouquets and floral arrangements were full of purple flowers and greenery. They were natural and wild looking and so gorgeous! "Our bouquets were beautiful," she said. "The staff at The Barn did a great job at creating the flowing, yet still simple and clean look I wanted."

Wedding portraits are always my favorite photos to look through, and Sarah Beth and Dustin's were SO sweet. These two are just precious!

Sarah Beth and Dustin's ceremony details were absolutely magical. Their altar had a wild, natural vibe, and it was full of lavender, so it smelled AMAZING. Their aisle was lined with purple floral arrangements, flower petals, and lanterns and candles. "I opted for as many candles and lanterns as possible to give everything a perfect feel," Sarah Beth said. "I have always loved those!" They created the most romantic feeling for their ceremony!

Our wedding at The Barn was beyond perfect! It was just as laid back as we are but still had an air of sophistication, thanks to the amazing team at The Barn. The altar was beautiful and the decor inside The Barn for the reception took my breath away! With all of the low lighting, lanterns and candles, draping and perfect mixture of colors the reception area looked more amazing than I could have even imagined. There truly are no words to perfectly describe that feeling of unbridled joy when Dustin and I had our private tour of the reception area!

"I will never forget the excitement of getting ready to walk down the aisle," she said. "I will also always remember how when I walked out of the changing area to begin the walk around The Barn, the DJ had the perfect nerdy procession song playing for the bridesmaids. I just started grinning! And then there was my father, waiting for me and I almost lost it right there. I will always remember the look on Dustin's face as we made the corner. Time just narrowed down into that one moment. Then as we made our way back down the aisle and got our first look at the inside of The Barn, I knew everything had been and would continue to be perfect."

I love the look on this sweet mama's face as she watches her daughter walk down the aisle! So much love and pride and a touch of sadness in her heart, I'm sure. <3

Sarah Beth and Dustin's ceremony was beautiful. They had several unique details that made it all their own!

"Dustin and I opted for a tree watering ceremony instead of a unity candle or sand jar," Sarah Beth said. "We each collected a jar of dirt from our childhood homes and dug up a young oak tree. We each sprinkled our jar of dirt together over the tree and then watered it. This way we each had a part of our past and future to plant in our yard at our first home together. We had Betty Fernau, our amazing officiant, throw in some of our random and weird quirks we enjoy doing together in our vows. Like playing the alphabet game on road trips and playing Pokemon GO. We also had a memory table set up with so many pictures of us at varying ages and with our fur babies. It was amazing and funny to see just how different we were growing up!"

Sarah Beth's favorite details of the day were her stunning reception details! "The lanterns and candles and draping were just stunning!" she said. The reception tables included lavender tablecloths, ruffled dark purple runners, mercury glass vases with purple florals, lanterns, and gorgeous purple and white place settings.

Our game lawn always looks fabulous when it's all dressed up for weddings, but it was extra pretty with all these yummy purple details!

Two of the most amazing details from this reception were the cakes, made by theCakePlace! How about all the details on that groom's cake?!

There was lots of fun and dancing at this reception, and also something a little unconventional... The newlyweds busted out their Game Boys for a little bit of mid-reception nerdy fun! ;)

At the end of their reception, Sarah Beth and Dustin headed off for a unique honeymoon! "As we had just purchased our first home together, we opted for a 'stay-cation' honeymoon," Sarah Beth said. "That way we could spend time together making our house a home. We plan on traveling for our first anniversary."

We always ask our brides how our team did, and this is what Sarah Beth had to say!

"The Twin Oaks team did a fantastic job throughout the entire process. The planning and decision making was so easy once we all met together. It took so much of the weight off of Dustin and I and our families that we could enjoy the fun parts of the planning. I always knew that I could contact any of the team with questions or concerns or ideas at any time and they would do everything in their power to help us. Our actual wedding day went so smoothly because of just how in sync this team works. They were amazing and I am so glad that we chose this venue!!"

Sarah Beth and Dustin, thank you for choosing The Barn as your wedding venue! We absolutely loved getting to plan your big day with you! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
