While I love every single wedding theme and style we do, I know that one style just perfectly "fits" with The Barn and its surroundings. I'm talking about rustic chic, of course! Rustic chic was made for a barn venue. :) This springtime wedding was rustic, romantic and so very gorgeous! This couple is incredibly sweet, and their big day was absolutely beautiful. Edwin Medina captured all the details and big moments, and I can't wait to share them with you!
Abby and Trey were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on April 30, 2016. Their theme was rustic chic and romantic, with a blush, tan and shades of green as their color palette. "It was fabulous!" Abby said of the way everything came together. "It was more than I ever expected or dreamed of!"
Abby's bridal gown came from The Bridal Cottage, and it was oh, so pretty! It was classic and perfect for a rustic chic wedding. I love the sleeves, neckline, and of course that gorgeous lace!
Abby and her bridesmaids carried classic, elegant bouquets. I love this combination of white and pale pink flowers! Every rustic chic bride needs at least a tiny bit of baby's breath and a burlap tie! "I preferred a more put-together bouquet for myself," Abby said. "I loved that my bouquet was very pretty, showed class and elegance. My bridesmaids' bouquets resembled mine, but smaller. All of the bouquets were absolutely gorgeous and made with top-notch flowers!"
Abby and Trey's bridal party was pretty, dressed up in blush and tan to fit their color palette! The bridesmaids wore fun, sequined blush dresses from Dillard's, and the guys wore tan suits with pink ties. Of course they all wore boots, because they know what's good! And their two little flower girls in white were precious!
Abby and Trey chose to have a first look before their ceremony. First look photos are always the best... I love how you can see the excitement and nervousness on their faces! The portaits that followed were super romantic. These two are so happy together!
Abby and Trey's ceremony details were gorgeous. There were tons of blush and white floral arrangements, with just enough rustic details to keep things from feeling too feminine. Their burlap and lace altar had two enormous, offset floral arrangements... this altar is the epitome of rustic chic! SO pretty! The aisle was lined with crates topped with florals and candles. "I loved the pompander flowers down the aisle," Abby said. We do, too!
Their ceremony was everything a wedding ceremony should be: romantic, intimate, and full of love!
Abby and Trey's reception was simply stunning, with rustic chic details galore! The tables included burlap tablecloths and runners, stacked crates topped with flowers, painted mason jars full of flowers, candles (they created such a romantic glow!), and simple gold and ivory place settings with burlap and lace accents. Abby and Trey also shared a gorgeous, romantic sweetheart table. Abby said Trey was "very involved" in choosing their decor! What a good guy!
The newlyweds served their guests a BBQ dinner, and Abby said one of her favorite details from the day was their signature cocktail. "Everyone loved it, and the bartender did a fabulous job putting it together!"
Their wedding cake fit in perfectly with the rustic theme, and they also had dessert shooters! "We also got a lot of compliments on the peanut butter shooters!" Abby said. "They were so yummy!" TheCakePlace always does a fantastic job! And how cute is their personalized cake stand?
They also gave their guests edible favors - the best kind! But because this couple is awesome, they didn't stop at just one type of wedding favor! "Our favors included strawberry jam decorated in cute, small mason jars, flip flops for dancing, and koozies for everyone's drinks with our wedding date on them," Abby said.
One of Abby's favorite things about her wedding day was all the dancing! "We did several dances with loved ones that really made it more personal," she said. "I will always remember everyone dancing! My husband even danced a bit! The DJ did a really good job! The atmosphere was completely perfect thanks to what the ladies at The Barn had planned!"
When their big day was over, Abby and Trey shared a sparkler grand exit, and then they went on a truly epic honeymoon. "We went to Kauai, Hawaii," Abby said. "It was fantastic. Everything was so laid back and relaxed there! We loved all of the beaches, food and experiences! Our resort was very pretty!"
Abby and Trey, we loved your sweet, rustic wedding! We wish y'all the very best! Congratulations! xoxoxoxoxoxo
