One of my favorite wedding ideas that isn't really a trend but totally should be: morning weddings! I know you're thinking, who wants to wake up early and get married?! But hear me out! I went to a morning wedding a few years ago, and it was one of my favorite weddings ever. There's something extra special about waking up early-ish, getting all dressed up, celebrating love, and then eating a delicious brunch and toasting the newlyweds with mimosas, all before lunchtime! The bride and groom then have the whole day to celebrate with each other, drive to the airport to leave for their honeymoon, or party with their guests. And we all know that gorgeous morning light = stunning wedding photos! Plus, all the early sounds of nature are so cheery and the perfect background noise for saying your I do's. :) If you're still not convinced, read this list from a bride who was married in the morning!
Several years back, I read about a sunrise wedding. That miiiight be a little too much for those of us who aren't early morning folks, but I loved the bride's reason for planning a sunrise wedding: "I loved the symbolism of beginning a new life together with the new light of the beginning of the day and everything that it resembles. There is something magical about the sunrise and getting up while the rest of the world is still asleep, the stillness and peace you find at that time of the day." Yep, I'm sold!
Morning wedding details are LEGIT, y'all. Think brunch foods (and we all know brunch foods are the best foods EVER), coffee bars, donut or waffle wedding cakes (yessss!), Bloody Marys and mimosas, and fun, sweet, casual florals and decor. If you're a morning person and you like the idea of a more casual wedding, a sweet little brunch wedding might be the thing for you! Here are some ideas that would be perfect for morning weddings! (Most of these are food related, because let's be honest... The best thing about mornings = breakfast/brunch!)
