This year's Barn Brides have been all about fun, unique color palettes. It has been such a fun year planning some of our most unique weddings yet! Today's wedding was colorful, boho-chic, and so very dreamy. You might recognize this wedding from a little blog called Wedding Chicks. Yes, that Wedding Chicks! We were absolutely thrilled to see Courtney and Matt and all their details featured on such a popular wedding blog!
These photos by Erin Wilson are truly some of our favorites! This lady is SO talented, and it was too hard for me to not go completely overboard with the photos on this post!
Courtney and Matt were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on May 28, 2016. Their color palette included eggplant purple and wisteria, and they chose Tiffany blue, silver and white as accent colors. "I really love the whole bohemian look, so I wanted to incorporate that look as much as possible in our wedding," Courtney said. Their details were boho-meets-rustic-chic, and they couldn't have been more beautiful and unique!
Courtney's bridal gown, from Danielle's Bridal, was perfect for a boho wedding. It was lace, with a beautiful neckline and train... it was flattering and absolutely gorgeous on her! I'm a sucker for lace and for dresses with buttons up the back! She finished off her bridal look with a pair of stunning, sparkly sandals and a floral crown (our fave!), which contained purple flowers, greenery, and a touch of baby's breath. Courtney, you made such a gorgeous bride!
Courtney's bridesmaids' dresses, also from Danielle's Bridal, were some of our absolute favorites! We LOVE that she chose two shades of purple for her girls to wear. And the necklines were fabulous! Her girls also wore simple greenery crowns. Plus, have you ever seen a sweeter flower girl?! We loved her dreamy white dress (serious fairy vibes!) and sweet little greenery crown! The guys wore gray pants, white shirts, suspenders (yes, please!) and purple bow ties. This bridal party, y'all... so, so, SOOO pretty!
As always, the flowers at this wedding were out of this world! Courtney's bouquet, as well as the other arrangements throughout their decor, included a mix of purple flowers, baby's breath, eucalyptus and other greenery. The bridesmaids carried eucalyptus and greenery bouquets. They were boho-chic, rustic, earthy and simply stunning! Another detail I adore: Courtney and Matt's save the dates and invitations!
Courtney and Matt's first look was one for the books! The look on Matt's face when he saw his stunning bride was unforgettable, to say the least. Courtney said it was one of her favorite moments from the day!
"I will always remember Matt's reaction when he saw me at our first look reveal," she said. "I loved it because he made me feel so beautiful and loved by all the emotions he expressed in that moment."
Courtney and Matt's ceremony was a bohemian-rustic dream! Their altar was simple but stunning; it was draped with a boho, crocheted blanket and was finished off with two purple floral arrangements. Their aisle was lined with wire sconces on shepherds hooks, filled with purple flowers. It was simple, but magical!
After tying the knot, Courtney and Matt had the most beautiful boho-chic reception ever. It was a DREAM. Their tables were stunning. They included white linens with purple runners, wood discs, deer antlers and crocheted runners. There were floral arrangements (including purple flowers, greenery and baby's breath) in mismatched vases and bottles... mercury glass vases, blue bottles, white bottles, and everything in between! Their place settings were simple and rustic, with burlap flatware holders and napkins in shades of purple and blue.
The lawn outside The Barn was rustic-chic and glorious! Check out those pallet benches, and most importantly, that super fancy steer head! Those details were right up our alley!
Courtney and Matt's reception included all the good stuff... first dances, a cake cutting (with a gorgeous cake!), and a great time with their loved ones. For favors, they gave out "several different colored mason jars that we decorated, and we had personalized drink holders for guests to take home with them," Courtney said.
When their big day was over, Courtney and Matt headed off to Destin, Florida for a romantic getaway as newlyweds! "It was amazing to just get away for a little while just with the two of us," Courtney said. "We had a great time just relaxing on the beach, eating delicious seafood, shopping and getting a massage."
"The Barn is truly amazing and did a fantastic job!" she said. "We loved every single thing about our wedding day and it was more than we could have ever expected! Thank you so much for making our day so incredible and unforgettable! We will treasure this memory for the rest of our lives because The Barn made our wedding day exceptional!"
While Erin was photographing Courtney and Matt and all of their details, she also took a few photos around The Barn that I just have to show off. The Barn and the land it sits on = PURE MAGIC. And these photos really show that off! (Sorry to make a lengthy blog post even longer, but these were too pretty not to share!)
