2017 was a big year for us, and I'm feeling all kinds of nostalgic looking back on our fabulous weddings, amazing couples, and inspirational styled shoots from the past 12 months. I'm all about an end of the year recap post, and it's always really fun to look back and see which posts our readers LOVED. I wanted to share 20 of our most popular posts of the year, just in case you missed any of them the first time around! These posts weren't all written this year, but they're the ones with the most views. Can't even wait to see what 2018 will bring our way!
2017 was the year of the elopement! I'm not one bit surprised to see that our elopement collection post was our MOST popular post of the year. Elopements are what I'm emailed about the most, and Barn Elopements have grown to be truly legendary. If you're interested in eloping at The Barn, check out the post for all the details!
Okay, this one makes me laugh! I wrote this post back in 2014 when I had just started writing this blog. I'm a little horrified at the variation in the image sizes, and the fact that I mentioned the Duggars. Cringe. If you can get past all of my newbie blogger mistakes, there are actually some pretty fun, unique ideas in this post! ;)
This post is for wedding guests rather than future brides and grooms, and it decodes what your invitation says about the attire you should wear to an upcoming wedding. Just as important as what you SHOULD wear, this post also gives a short list of what you should NOT wear to a wedding.
This is still one of my personal favorite posts! In this one, I spill the details on how I did my own wedding invitations on the cheap. Budget brides, check this one out!
Our most viewed wedding post of the year was Megan and Daniel's pretty summer 2014 wedding... This is one of my FAVORITE weddings ever, and I'm thrilled that it's still so popular more than three years later. You've got to see all the pretty peach and mint details!
7. The Barn's Big Plans for 2017! (HAHAHA. I'm glad y'all appreciated our April Fools post, because I sure did have a fun time writing it!)
This one is extra special to us. Brett unexpectedly passed away recently, and Melody has had an extremely difficult year for many reasons. We loved their sweet butterfly themed wedding, and we know it warmed many of your hearts as well. Please keep Melody and their loved ones in your prayers as they head into the holiday season without Brett. <3
One of our most fabulous weddings of 2017! This one was unforgettable. Every single detail is a must see!
This year, The Barn's sister store, Vaqueras, opened up in downtown Russellville! Lesleigh, who is The Barn's owner and creative director, opened the store early this year, and it has provided Russellville and the surrounding areas with such a unique place to shop for the finest Western wear you could ever find.
