I've got the sweetest Thursday wedding from last month to share with y'all today! A purple color palette, a rustic chic theme, pretty details, and a sweet, gorgeous couple. This elopement was a dream! Whitney Phillips from WDPhotography captured their big day so beautifully. I love all the emotions in these images!
Brooke and Robert were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on May 11, 2017. Their colors were lavender and ivory... Brooke chose purple because it's her favorite color, and she chose ivory as an accent color because it was the color of her gorgeous dress! Their details were rustic, simple and timeless.
Brooke's florals were full of purple, white, baby's breath and greenery. "They looked amazing! Just like I thought they would," Brooke said. That's what we like to hear!
Brooke's bridal gown came from David's Bridal, and I truly ADORE this dress! It is such a simple, understated dress, but it couldn't be more beautiful on her... The silhouette, the little bit of detailing, the champagne sash and the classic veil. How gorgeous is this couple?! So many heart eyes for these two!
Love this fun bridal party! The girls' fun, strapless purple dresses were also from David's Bridal. And we never, ever get tired of guys in classic black tuxes (especially with a pop of purple)! Ohh, and I'm always a sucker for a groom + groomsmen sock pic. It's all in the details! Even the ones on your feet are important. :)
The first photo I saw from this wedding was the following picture of their altar, which is on our Instagram. And I'm pretty sure my jaw hit the floor! Gorgeous purple and white florals, tons of greenery and baby's breath, and a burlap drape... this is THE rustic chic altar of my dreams. Brooke said the altar and the flowers were her favorite details from her wedding day. The rest of the ceremony decor was pretty simple, with mason jars full of purple florals lining the aisle, as well as a custom guestbook.
Brooke's most memorable moment of the day was "walking down the aisle with my father and seeing my now husband at the end." I bet she'll never forget the precious look on her groom's face as she walked down the aisle! #relationshipgoals y'all!
Brooke and Robert's reception was rustic, simple and wonderful, with burlap tablecloths, purple and white florals in wooden boxes (love those!), lanterns and candles. "We did a remembrance table of our loved ones who were not able to be with us on our wedding day," Brooke said. They also gave out some really fun favors to their guests: kettle corn and monogrammed koozies!
"I love the atmosphere of The Barn with the outdoor ceremony and just a few feet away you can have your reception," Brooke said. "It's a very peaceful place."
One of the prettiest details from their reception was this classic, rustic white cake with pretty purple flowers and a monogrammed topper! Robert's Steelers groom's cake was amazing, too. Kneading Hands Bakery does such a good job on our couples' cakes!
After their big day, Brooke and Robert went on an epic honeymoon! "We went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and it was amazing," Brooke said.
Brooke also had some really sweet words to say about The Barn and our wonderful Twin Oaks Team: "A wonderful job! We would recommend them to anyone. Wonderful and easy people to work with who make sure the job is done."
Brooke and Robert, we had such a great time working with you! We're thrilled that you chose to tie the knot at The Barn, and we absolutely loved your big day! We wish y'all tons of happiness and love! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
