Today is an exciting day, because I'm finally blogging one of our gorgeous spring 2018 weddings! This spring has been full of elopements and events, and I'm thrilled to start sharing all the pretty details with y'all. Stacy and Aaron's wedding was intimate, sweet, perfect, and full of unique details... They were married in front of The Barn (which never happens, but we LOVE it so), and they flawlessly worked a few details from their love story into their details and decor. We adored this one. And we adore their photos by Mandy Davis Photography, too!
Stacy and Aaron were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on March 3, 2018. Their color palette was gorgeous: mauve, burgundy, gray and ivory. "We decided on this color scheme because of the time of the year," Stacy said. "We didn’t want anything bright, or flashy."
Stacy and Aaron's wedding video by Kyndal Capps Videography is giving us all the feels. We always encourage our couples to hire a great videographer if they are able to work it into their budget. Great photos of your wedding are an absolute necessity, and a wedding video doesn't follow far behind. It captures all of the emotions, vibes and details of a wedding the way that photos can't, and we promise you'll get weepy watching your wedding video even 60 years from now. They're so special, and we just love this sweet one.
The florals were one of the loveliest details from this wedding, and it melted our hearts how Stacy managed to work several special, meaningful details into her gorgeous bridal bouquet. Here's what she said about her flowers! "They were absolutely gorgeous. I can’t tell you how many compliments we have received from pictures. Lesleigh was able to find a true mauve color for us and put just the right amount of greenery in with them that I was wanting. My bouquets looked exactly like something you would see on Pinterest! It surprised me how much Aaron loved the flowers and talked about them! On my bouquet I had a blue flowered brooch that belonged to my late grandma Evey as my 'something blue.' I also attached a little golden Grand Ole Opry guitar that was my late Grandma Callie’s that she got in Nashville. Since we went to Nashville on our honeymoon, I felt like it was appropriate and meaningful to use as my something old."
We're just swooning over these pretty details!
Stacy's bridal gown was from David's Bridal... a timeless, classic dress that had the perfect amount of bling! What a gorgeous bride! Her bridal portraits are some of the prettiest ever, and they show off just how pretty spring at The Barn really is. Aaron wore a classic gray tux, which is probably the absolute best look for a spring wedding!
Stacy and Aaron exchanged their vows in front of The Barn's doors, which we're HUGE fans of and we wish it would happen more often! Their ceremony was small and intimate, with just their close family in attendance.
"Aaron proposed on top of the castle at Castello Di Amorosa," Stacy said. "Lesleigh allowed us to do a wine unity which we were able to share wine from the castle together. We loved the wine barrels The Barn set up for decorations. It was truly a very special moment for us." They also had small barrels lining their aisle, topped with flowers. We loved how their ceremony decor told a part of their story!
Even intimate receptions with only a few guests can be insanely pretty! This was one of the chicest receptions of all time. The greenery garland down the table, the lanterns, and the mauve florals... it all looked SO magical under The Barn's twinkling chandeliers and beautiful drapery. I'm also loving their simple (but beautiful) white cake topped with the cutest, sparkly topper.
Stacy said her favorite details from her wedding were the florals and all the decorations. "It was a Pinterest wedding, and without The Barn it would not have been possible," Stacy said. When our brides compare their weddings to Pinterest weddings, we feel like we've successfully done our jobs! ;)
Stacy and Aaron's wedding day portraits are so romantic and dreamy! I couldn't pick a favorite, so here are a few too many of them. ;) These two look so thrilled to be husband and wife... their happiness is contagious!
Stacy and Aaron wanted an intimate ceremony with only their closest family present, but they also wanted to have a huge party with all of their besties when they got back home to Oklahoma!
"Aaron’s favorite part of getting married at The Barn was the intimate setting it allowed us to have," Stacy said. "We traveled from northwestern Oklahoma and only brought with us our grandparents, parents, siblings, and their significant others. We had a fairly large reception back home at the end of March. There were over 250 people. We chose The Barn, because they were able to tailor their packages to our desire of having a small intimate ceremony. The Barn took care of everything! All we had to do was show up!!"
After their wedding, the newlyweds went on a sweet honeymoon to Tennessee! "After we left The Barn, we drove to Memphis and stayed two nights at Harbor Town River Inn," Stacy said. "It was located right on the river and had a beautiful scenery. From Memphis we drove to Gatlinburg and stayed three nights. While in Gatlinburg we hiked the Great Smoky Mountains and went to a few shows. We went on to Nashville, where we saw the night life, went to the Ryman, Johnny Cash Museum and the Grand Ole Opry."
Stacy described her wedding at The Barn as flawless! "We loved the extremely detailed time line," she said. "It was very helpful! Not being local, we didn’t have much knowledge about an Arkansas marriage license, hotels, hair and makeup, etc. It was a weight off our shoulders by just emailing or texting Lesleigh our questions and her providing us with the answers, and lists of recommendations. Lesleigh gave us a very detailed list of what we needed to do on our end, and it was comforting to us because In the days leading up to the event there was no feeling of last minute details that still needed attention. Everything was already taken care of and it was stress free!"
Stacy and Aaron, thank you so much for driving all the way to The Barn to say I Do! We LOVED planning your stunning wedding with you! We wish y'all the best, and we hope you'll come back and visit us! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
