This couple was married at The Barn just over a week ago, and we adored their sweet, summery, rustic chic elopement so so much! It had the perfect summertime color palette, beautiful rustic details, some seriously cute kids, and so much more! This post is also extra special, because not only will you hear about this wedding from the bride's point of view, but also from her mother's. Sydney's mom, Becky, had a huge part in the planning of their wedding, so I wanted her to share all of her thoughts on the big day, too!
This one was photographed by Stacy Munford, who just happens to be Becky's dear friend. Becky said she will treasure these photos forever, and I know y'all are gonna be head over heels for all of the sweetness! (There are also a few of our own iPhone photos included that we were crazy about and wanted to share!)
Sydney and Michael were married at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch on June 3, 2018. Their color palette was summery and beautiful - peach, blue and ivory, with pops of orange to honor their son who they lost in April. Their theme was rustic chic, and every detail was adorable!
Sydney's florals and bouquets were full of peach, blush and white roses and a little bit of greenery - so dreamy for a rustic chic June wedding! "The flowers were perfect and had special meaning for Sydney and Michael," Becky said. "I really loved the denim ties too."
Here are just a few of my favorite little details from this wedding! I LOVED all the chambray used throughout their details.
Sydney was such a gorgeous bride! She found her dream dress on Amazon, and it was just lovely on her. We loved the classic silhouette of this dress, its pretty lace details and the stunning back! We were also obsessed with the flower details in her hair, as well as the pretty peach rose crowns her flower girls wore - with a cute chambray bow, of course!
Sydney said one moment she would always remember from her wedding was "the look on my kids' faces when they saw us." We're just smitten with this sweet family! Cutest kids ever.
Sydney said her favorite wedding detail was her altar, which was "exactly what we wanted for our special day," she said. Y'all, we LOVED this rustic chic altar. The beautiful white drape, the greenery, the GORGEOUS peach and white flowers... this is the ideal summer altar! Their reception decor also included mason jars (tied with chambray) full of peach and white flowers. "I brought their personalized ring box and guestbook frame with hearts for everyone to sign, so I loved those details as well," Becky said. This is the cutest guestbook ever!
Not only was this ceremony beautiful, but it was also super sweet. Sydney and Michael were surrounded by their kids and their closest family. "Stubby did a great job on the ceremony," Becky said. "I love how personal and fun he is. He incorporated the Bible verse they wanted perfectly."
Sydney and Michael's wedding cake was one of the prettiest details of the day - it was a classic white cake wrapped with burlap and lace and topped with florals in their color scheme. It was sitting on a pallet and was topped with a wooden H, which were the perfect additions for a rustic chic cake table. Becky told me it was as yummy as it was pretty!
Sydney said her wedding day was everything she imagined it would be! "We loved The Barn family," she said. "Lesleigh is amazing and very helpful!"
"Most of all, I want to thank The Barn for making the day so beautiful and relaxing," Becky said. "I will tell everyone I know that has an upcoming wedding about this place." We can't thank you enough for that, Becky!
Sydney and Michael, thank you so much for letting us plan your elopement with you! We loved every bit of it, and we couldn't be happier for y'all! xoxoxoxoxoxo
